PURPOSE OF ROLE<\/strong> \nContribute towards the success of National & Regional plans by managing and developing a sales area of on-trade accounts, delivering stretch brand and \nportfolio targets. \nDeliver QDVPPP (Quality, Distribution, Visibility, Promotion, Price, Persuasion) sales drivers for the business. \nPro-actively seek ways to \u2018re-invent the on trade\u2019. \nFeedback on key issues and trends affecting the sales area and suggest actions.<\/p>\nROLE DIMENSIONS<\/strong> \nManage and develop QDVPPP levers across approx 200 core on-trade outlets in sales territory \nManage and evaluate area brand development and promotional budgets \nBuild relationships across the business and with Regional\/National Wholesalers, Trade Associations, Customers and Consumers.<\/p>\nKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES<\/strong> \nDevelop and execute a territory sales plan, ensuring clear fit with National & regional plans. \nDeliver specified KPI\u2019s including: \nBrands & Category Development Initiatives \nAnnual call targets \nWork with core accounts within area to develop broad \u2018business partner\u2019 relationships and provide a foundation for QDVPPP objectives \nDevelop and manage local marketing activities (e.g. radio, papers, events, etc.), including creation of locally based brand opportunities. \nMaximise Diageo brand exposure within area utilising a variety of contact methods (e.g. wholesaler, telephone, trade networks, etc.) \nGain important consumer and trade insights and share with relevant internal contacts (e.g. Technical teams, RSM, RD, Marketing teams, etc) \nMaintain accurate callage records and outlet details and full compliance to Siebel operating procedures. \nPlan, execute and evaluate all operational and promotional activity to ensure optimum performance, value and return. \nShare learning with relevant internal colleagues across sales and marketing business<\/p>\nRELATIONSHIPS<\/strong><\/p>\nExternal \nCustomer contacts across territory \nTrade Body contacts \nWholesaler, C&C and National or Regional account contacts<\/p>\n

Baseline<\/strong> \u2013 aware of financial principles and applies them within own role. \nOn Premise Leadership \nBaseline \u2013 able to build professional, credible relationships with on-trade partners and develop profitable programs. \nConsumer Insight<\/p>\nBaseline<\/strong> \u2013 understands consumer types, attitudes and trends. Able to use knowledge and data effectively. \nQualifications & Experience<\/p>\nGraduate calibre<\/strong> \nCommercial experience and understanding \u2013 either \u2018business to business\u2019 or\u2019 business to consumer\u2019, preferably within FMCG environment. \nUnderstanding of the total alcoholic drinks market \nFull clean driving licence. \nFunctional Capabilities<\/p>\nDemonstrate high level self-organisation and good time management. Can prioritise complex tasks and ensure deadlines are met.<\/p>\n
