The position reports to the Audit and Finance Committee\/Board of trustees through the Vice-Chancellor.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Communicate and coordinate with other departments for compliance of established policies, plans, procedures and rules.<\/li>\n<li>Execute risk assessment of various functions and initiate comprehensive audit programs for the University, concentrating on high risk areas in terms of value of assets, adequacy of controls, level of staff assigned and prior incident of breakdown of internal controls,<\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement annual audit plan and issue periodic audit reports; audit,<\/li>\n<li>IT\/computer-based audit activities and systems for their cost-effectiveness, security and utility for risk management and decision making.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s degree in Accounting, Business and Finance from any recognized University and or HND in Accounting and Auditing.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in IT\/IS Audit will be preferred and,<\/li>\n<li>Applicants should be of good health, sound judgment, pleasant disposition and unassailable integrity.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Should be a member of recognized body of professional accountants ora certified Internal Auditor; or a certified internal control auditor.<\/li>\n<li>Should be conversant with the Public procurement regulatory authority<\/li>\n<li>Applicants should have been at the level of Auditing in a University for a minimum of seven (7) years.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tenure and Conditions of Service<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The internal Auditor Post shall be for the period of four (4) years in the first instance and may be renewed for another four (4) years only.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested applicants should submit their Applications, Curriculum Vitae and copies of Credentials to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:jobs@bazeuniversity.edu.ng\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>jobs@bazeuniversity.edu.ng<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and addressed to:<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Registrar,<br \/>\nPlot 686, Cadastral Zone C00,<br \/>\nJabi Airport Road Bypass (Ring Road),<br \/>\nBehind National Judicial Institute,<br \/>\nAbuja, FCT,<br \/>\nNigeria.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applicants should also request each of their referees to send his\/her referee\u2019s report under confidential cover directly to the Registrar marked \u201cReferee\u2019s Report for the Post of Auditor\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>6th June\u00a02018.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong>\u00a0Only shortlisted Applicants will be invited for the interview.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Baze University is a distinctive quality-based educational institution making a difference in the Nation\u2019s history through the positive impact of its service and graduates output.
