{"id":57900,"date":"2018-05-25T15:19:40","date_gmt":"2018-05-25T14:19:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/?p=57900"},"modified":"2018-05-29T09:59:17","modified_gmt":"2018-05-29T08:59:17","slug":"action-hunger-new-job-opening-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/action-hunger-new-job-opening-2.html","title":{"rendered":"Action Against Hunger New Job Opening"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Action Against Hunger works to save lives by combating hunger and diseases that threaten the lives of vulnerable communities, through nutrition, food security, water and sanitation, health and advocacy.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Deputy Regional Nutrition and Health Coordinator\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The position is based in Maiduguri, Borno and supervised by the Regional Nutrition and Health Coordinator.<\/li>\n<li>The Deputy Regional Nutrition and Health Coordinator collaborates with the Nutrition and Health Regional Coordinator in ensuring the coordination\/integration of all Action Against Hunger nutrition and health programs (including emergency intervention) and other department programs in the Northeast, Nigeria.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tasks and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure effective integration and coherence of the missions\u2019 nutritional activities \u2013 nutrition surveillance, feeding programs, capacity building \u2013 in accordance with the organization\u2019s country strategy, national and state policies.<\/li>\n<li>Technical support to Nutrition Project Managers and other members of the team.<\/li>\n<li>Organize and provide regular supervision and coaching of team members involved in implementation of nutrition and health activities.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor the compliance of programs in accordance with current project objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Support the organization\u2019s advocacy activities related to nutrition and health (follow up on advocacy plans, press releases).<\/li>\n<li>Participate in relevant meetings related to nutrition and health, including meetings with donors, partners, sectors and other stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Support drugs management in coordination with the logistics team at the base level.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the overall mission and program strategy, narrative and financial project proposals and reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the technical review of monthly\/quarterly\/annual nutrition and health reports to guarantee standard and high quality of information.<\/li>\n<li>Provide reports on all nutrition specific projects and nutrition components of integrated projects to donors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Position Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing or other similar field.<\/li>\n<li>At least 3 year\u2019s experience in managing nutrition and health treatment and prevention programs in underdeveloped\/crisis contexts.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent skills in report writing and analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Sound understanding of national guidelines\/protocols; CMAM, IYCF etc.<\/li>\n<li>Experience communicating in different cultural work environments &amp; with a wide diversity of culture.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in international NGO context, with knowledge of treatment, management of malnutrition and reproductive health issues.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application Closing Date<\/strong><br \/>\n6th June, 2018.<\/p>\n<section id=\"listing-fields\"><\/section>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/acfinternational.applytojob.com\/apply\/Aube2REiKb\/Deputy-Regional-Nutrition-And-Health-Coordinator-Readvertised\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Submit your CV and Application Online : Click Here<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advert may close before the due date once we receive application from qualified candidates.<\/li>\n<li>Qualified women are strongly encouraged to apply.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Action Against Hunger works to save lives by combating hunger and diseases that threaten the lives of vulnerable communities, through nutrition, food security, water and sanitation, health and advocacy.
