The goal of Breakthrough ACTION\/Nigeria is to increase the practice of 17 priority individual and household level behaviors and five provider targeted behaviors in the areas of malaria; maternal, newborn, child health and nutrition; family planning and reproductive health (RH); and tuberculosis, while increasing the capacity of national and sub-national entities to coordinate and oversee quality SBC programming. Implementation will vary by health area across eleven states.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>BA Nigeria Media Monitor Specialist<br \/>\nLocation<\/strong>: Abuja<br \/>\n<strong>Job Type:<\/strong> Full Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Core to this package of work will be to oversee the buying of broadcast media airtime and closely work with BA\u2019s media partners and Broadcast monitors to ensure strict broadcast compliance on all BA\u2019s media contents, especially Radio and Television spots.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Negotiating and purchasing airtime from broadcasters in all BA states<\/li>\n<li>Generating relationship with new media partners (where possible);<\/li>\n<li>Working with Media team to negotiate for transmission\/broadcast time for all BA\u2019s programmes<\/li>\n<li>Keeping good records of all BA\u2019s media contents and their broadcast status.<\/li>\n<li>Perform any other duties that may be assigned.<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining weekly and monthly monitoring report of all BA spots and programmes in radio and TV stations in all BA states<\/li>\n<li>Updating all monitoring information\/feedback<\/li>\n<li>Liaising with HQ on purchasing contracts and payment of vendors<\/li>\n<li>Providing weekly update on programmes and send to Line manager<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining regular and ongoing communications with media and non-media partners, keeping them up to date on relevant broadcast developments and reflecting their feedback back to organization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Supervisory Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities at this time.\u00a0 With project expansion this status may change over time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements, Education and\/or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>HND or Bachelor\u2019s degree with at least 5 years\u2019 experience of working with the Media, Production and Public Relations agency.<\/li>\n<li>Mentoring, training and developing staff.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and inter-personal skills<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in both spoken and written English and at least one other Nigerian language<\/li>\n<li>Ability to demonstrate cultural sensitivity and work effectively with a diverse range of people<\/li>\n<li>Proven organizational, communication and interpersonal skills and be well versed in the use of the computer.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work with minimum supervision, take initiative and make sound judgment while maintaining a team players spirit.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to multitask and deliver promptly.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of the role of communications in development organization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Language Skills:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be fluent in English, and given the geographic focus of the project, Hausa and\/or Igbo is highly desirable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their Cover Letters (including the below) and CV\u2019s as one PDF document to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:hiring@hc3nigeria.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>hiring@hc3nigeria.org<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0The subject line of your email should be \u2013 \u201cBA Media Monitor Specialist\u201d only.<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nApplication Procedure<\/strong><br \/>\nPlease follow all the instructions Exactly.
