Ebert, a Social Democrat, had risen from being a simple craftsman to hold the highest political office in the country.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Secretary\/Project Assistant<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Abuja<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) Nigeria Office seeks to employ a Secretary \/ Project Assistant who will provide project and secretarial assistance, performing a variety of administrative and financial duties ensuring high quality and precision of work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Under the supervision of the Resident Representative, the Secretary \/ Project Assistant will carry out the following tasks:<\/li>\n<li>Set up and maintain hard and soft copy filing systems for records, correspondence, and other documents.<\/li>\n<li>Drafting and proof-reading of text and documents.<\/li>\n<li>Manage the social media face of the office.<\/li>\n<li>Undertake other financial and administrative tasks.<\/li>\n<li>Any other reasonable tasks assigned by employer<\/li>\n<li>Assist the Resident Representative (RR) in his internal and external communication.<\/li>\n<li>Manage schedule and organising meetings and appointments for RR and programme managers with partners and visitors.<\/li>\n<li>Act as a first point of contact: dealing with correspondence and phone calls<\/li>\n<li>Take accurate minutes of meetings, routine correspondence and reports.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the coordination of conferences, meetings, and travel reservations for the office.<\/li>\n<li>Support Programme Managers in the planning, preparation, implementation and follow-up of in their programme activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills and Experience<\/strong><br \/>\nEducation:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Minimum of a University Degree<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Skills and Experience:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Additional experience in information technology and project management will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Very good communication skills and fluency in English is a must.<\/li>\n<li>Proficient drafting and language editing skills are required.<\/li>\n<li>At least two years of experience in administrative work or other substantive area is required.<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience working with a Non-Profit Organization is a very strong advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in the use of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and advance knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages, experience in handling web-based management systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their Motivational Letter and CV\u2019s in one document, and addressed to the \u201cHuman Resource Officer\u201d, by mail to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:info@fes-nigeria.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>info@fes-nigeria.org<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0using the Position as the Subject title.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline\u00a0<\/strong>22nd June, 2018.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong>\u00a0Only applicants who are short-listed will be contacted.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) is a private, non-profit organisation committed to the values of Social Democracy.
