ID:<\/strong> WD173187<br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Nigeria<br \/>\n<strong>Position:<\/strong> Full time<br \/>\n<strong>Functional<\/strong> <strong>Area:<\/strong> Finance<br \/>\n<strong>Relocation:<\/strong> Not Indicated<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nJob Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage regulatory agencies \u2013 FIRS, SIRS, SEC, NSE and other affiliate agencies<\/li>\n<li>Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls<\/li>\n<li>Support the commercial risk management process by identifying and reviewing potential finance risk exposures and making recommendations to minimise cost or damage should a loss occur.<\/li>\n<li>Interface with GMS finance team to achieve financial and management reporting<\/li>\n<li>To plan, direct and coordinate finance services functions of GSK entities covering treasury management, inventory management, account receivables, accounts payable, fixed assets management, payroll and financial reporting.<\/li>\n<li>To ensure adequate financial and management controls are in place to support the GSK entities in Nigeria.<\/li>\n<li>Support the commercial ambition of the business via cross-functional engagement to drive business growth, profitability and create value for stakeholders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nFinancial Reporting &amp; Compliance:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To develop, short, medium and long term strategic plans for financial reporting and drive compliance to achieve<\/li>\n<li>Proper accounting and management of the fixed assets of the GSK entities to ensure accuracy and completeness<\/li>\n<li>Ensure adequacy and correctness of management responses to management control reports issued by external auditors from time to time<\/li>\n<li>Proper\u00a0 over bank reconciliations and governance<\/li>\n<li>Review of financial statement and disclosures.<\/li>\n<li>Provision of accurate and complete monthly financial statements and other management reports in line with GSK defined guidelines and stipulations of IFRS<\/li>\n<li>Support the production of the quarterly financial statements for presentation to the Board of Directors and publication in line with guidelines of SEC, NSE and Financial Reporting Council Nigeria<\/li>\n<li>Conduct periodic audits<\/li>\n<li>Provision of advisory services to the business on matters of corporate governance, corporate financial reporting and disclosure requirements<\/li>\n<li>Effective management of tax compliance with the laws of the federation Nigeria governing tax administration and payments<\/li>\n<li>Development of policies and SOPs to support proper running of the business and safeguard assets of the companies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Treasury Management:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage working capital to support business growth and expansion objectives as may be set from time to time.<\/li>\n<li>To ensure good governance and compliance with financial treasury requirement of the group<\/li>\n<li>To ensure the banking relationship are maintained and well managed<\/li>\n<li>Explore opportunities to invest surplus cash and obtain cash requirements at lowest cost possible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Inventory &amp; Fixed Asset Management:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Management SB14 reporting<\/li>\n<li>Stock taking and reporting<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with policies and improve the control environment on a continuous basis.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Accounts Receivables\/Payroll:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Drive compliance with credit control policy and reduce incidence of bad debt and expensive debt administration costs<\/li>\n<li>Ensure internal check of payroll input is adequate to guarantee completeness and data integrity<\/li>\n<li>Ensure sales are recorded correctly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Accounts Payable:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure timely payment of vendor and intercompany obligations.<\/li>\n<li>Develop integrity of payment process to ensure error proof payment system is in place.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Risk Management:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Finance risk identification, assessment, &amp; evaluation.<\/li>\n<li>Tracking &amp; reporting of identified risk in line with Group policies management recommendations and<\/li>\n<li>Effective management of insurance portfolio of GSK entities and relationships with Insurance brokers<\/li>\n<li>Providing support, education and training to staff to build risk awareness within the organisation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Manage and Create Team Motivation:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identifying development needs during performance reviews<\/li>\n<li>Recruitment of right mix of staff<\/li>\n<li>Constructive feedback to enhance performance<\/li>\n<li>Coaching and mentoring as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Complexity:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsibilities cover coordination of all financial transactional activities and other departments (Marketing, Distribution, Sales, Administration, Production, IT) within GSK entities in Nigeria<\/li>\n<li>Manage strategic alliances between GSK Nigeria and its suppliers of goods and services, local regulatory agencies and other GSK sites.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Basic Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Educated to degree level or equivalent.<\/li>\n<li>Qualified Accountant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Work Experience:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>7-10 years\u2019 experience in Finance or accounting-related function<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to create commercial analyses and translate findings into strategic recommendations.<\/li>\n<li>FMCG commercial awareness.<\/li>\n<li>Membership of professional bodies, ACA, ACCA, CITN<\/li>\n<li>Strong
