Title:\u00a0Accountant<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Ref:<\/strong> Akr-Acc<br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Akure, Ondo State<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nPosition Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform recording of receivables, payables, analyzing, interpreting and reporting of transactions for decision making.<\/li>\n<li>The role also involves vouching of all transactions, bank reconciliation and petty cash management and compliance with relevant Tax Legislation etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nInvoicing:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collects and reviews Purchase Order for jobs done by the Company.<\/li>\n<li>Prepares and submits proforma invoices.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures substantive invoices are submitted.<\/li>\n<li>Captures and post invoices into the Accounting software<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Accounts Receivable Management:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tracks all outstanding receivables and reconciles them quickly.<\/li>\n<li>Raise an exception report if payment advice is not received.<\/li>\n<li>Prepares reports to show receivables ageing and submit to management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Accounting Information Management:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintains the General Ledger and reconciles accounts\/ledgers.<\/li>\n<li>Compiles and submits management accounts.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures data backups are done and maintains storage of all relevant hard copies of accounting documents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Accounts Payable Management:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Processes vendor payments in line with Company Vendor Payment Policy.<\/li>\n<li>Vets all invoices to ensure they meet the relevant requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Submits processed invoices for approval before effecting payment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Payroll Processing:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepares and submit employee payroll for approval.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Cash Administration:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supervises the day to day finance and accounts operations<\/li>\n<li>Administers payment transfers through the bank.<\/li>\n<li>Manages cash advance and reconciles retirement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Non-Current Assets Management:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintains the non-current Assets Register and processes depreciation for various assets and additions\/disposals entries\/journals.<\/li>\n<li>Maintains relevant non-current Assets accounts as required by FIRS<\/li>\n<li>Accounts Maintenance and Vouchering<\/li>\n<li>Raises vouchers for transactions and posts financial data to the appropriate accounts in the automated accounting system.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures that all accounting entries posted into the accounting system are accurate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Bank Reconciliation and Statement Audit:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepares bank reconciliation statements for all corporate accounts.<\/li>\n<li>Audits bank statements to ensure consistency and accuracy of bank charges.<\/li>\n<li>Reports all noted inconsistencies to supervisory manager timely.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Document Management:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintains and accurately tracks all accounting documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Maintains accounting records and audit evidence by making copies and filing documents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Petty Cash Administration:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Administers Petty Cash disbursement and reconciles all retirements.<\/li>\n<li>Raises cash call to replenish petty cash and maintain liquidity.<\/li>\n<li>Assists in implementing of internal control systems.<\/li>\n<li>Effects payment to vendors for services rendered after obtaining the necessary approvals and documentary evidence.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Education\/Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Candidate must preferably be an Associate member of ICAN, or final stages of the professional exams;<\/li>\n<li>A graduate with back ground in Accounting.<\/li>\n<li>Must have 6 \u2013 7 years work experience in core accounting duties with the ability to work without much supervision.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desired Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proficient with MS Office (word, excel, Power point) a MUST and knowledge of essential accounting software usage such as Peachtree, Sage, SAP, Tally etc.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Organizational skills with attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Corporate Finance, confidentiality<\/li>\n<li>Reporting skills, deadline-oriented, time management<\/li>\n<li>Reasoning ability, mathematical ability, and logical thinking skills<\/li>\n<li>Data entry management, Problem-solving skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Salary\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nN200, 000 per month.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested
