Every day, approximately 263,900 professionals in more than 150 countries demonstrate their commitment to a single vision: to be the standard of excellence, while working towards one purpose \u2013 to make an impact that matters.<\/p>\n<p>In Nigeria, Deloitte is a leading professional services firm, providing Audit, Tax, Consulting, Risk Advisory, Business Process and Corporate Finance services to public and private clients spanning multiple industries.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Energy Sector Advisor\/Environment Specialist<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Requisition code:<\/strong> NG153382VA<br \/>\n<strong>Location<\/strong>: Abuja<br \/>\n<strong>Direct Report:<\/strong> PMO\/Results Management Lead<br \/>\n<strong>Business Unit:<\/strong> General<\/p>\n<p><strong>Programme Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Deloitte is leading a power sector transformation programme which has been established by a development agency to support reform within Nigeria\u2019s power sector<\/li>\n<li>Key objectives of the reform programme include addressing gas to power challenges, competitive procurement of clean and conventional energy, utility distribution sector reform, and off-grid electricity access<\/li>\n<li>Ideally, the project will enable 10,000 MW of new-rehabilitated electricity generation capacity, and 3 million new electricity connections, enabling reliable and affordable electricity access to millions of people for the first time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Position Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Environmental Specialist is responsible for ensuring activities meet set criteria for appropriately monitoring and mitigating environmental impact<\/li>\n<li>They will work closely with leadership and subcontractors to ensure awareness of environmental criteria and compliance with environmental regulations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Position Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support drafting initial Environmental Monitoring and Mitigation Plan (EMMP), and support with annual updates to the plan thereafter.<\/li>\n<li>Draft quarterly updates for the EMMP to support Quarterly Progress Reports and Annual Progress Reports.<\/li>\n<li>Identify activities with potential environmental impact, and develop plans to help reduce the impact.<\/li>\n<li>Work with the Programme Manager and Project Managers to ensure ongoing focus on environmental footprint as well as compliance with environmental monitoring activities related to the Programme<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What Impact Will You Make?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Every day, your work will make an impact that matters, while you thrive in a dynamic culture of inclusion, collaboration and high performance<\/li>\n<li>As the undisputed leader in professional services, Deloitte is where you\u2019ll find unrivalled opportunities to succeed and realize your full potential.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How You Will Grow<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At Deloitte, our professional development plan focuses on helping people at every level of their career to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
