It seeks to stimulate voluntary commitment from doctors, other healthcare providers, and from those whose expertise in other fields is needed for its activities, to enlist all competent support required for the achievement of its projects, and to seek at all times to encourage close working relationships with populations in its care.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Drug Dispenser<br \/>\nLocation<\/strong>: Damboa, Borno<br \/>\n<strong>Line Manager:<\/strong> Pharmacist<br \/>\n<strong>Line reports:<\/strong> Pharmacist<br \/>\n<strong>Length of contract:<\/strong> 6 months Possibility for extension: YES<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nMain Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nUnder the supervision of the Pharmacist the Drug Dispenser (within Damboa team) will be responsible for the following main activities in order to ensure the quality of care in the mobile clinics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Respond to different crisis identified by MdM needs assessment (epidemic and\/or sudden mass displacement of population) as part of the emergency team.<\/li>\n<li>Once a situation has been stabilized, the drug dispenser along with Damboa Medical team will be deployed to support the different MdM clinics within Damboa<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Under the direction of the Field Coordinator, the drug dispenser is expected to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collect, computerize and analyze weekly pharmacy data<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the security of MdM properties and to keep his\/her supervisor inform about the security situation<\/li>\n<li>Attend and report the required meetings<\/li>\n<li>Participate in Rapid needs Assessment missions<\/li>\n<li>Respond to the health needs associated with population influx and communicable disease outbreak(s)<\/li>\n<li>Provide free of charge healthcare\/dispensing of drugs to the affected populations with respect MdM mandates and principles<\/li>\n<li>Follow the various MdM guidelines (PHC, SRH, MHPSS, GBV and Nut) and seek support from superiors when needed<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with existing MdM teams and other partners in the area<\/li>\n<li>Make appropriate patient referrals to the specified health facilities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once an emergency has stabilized:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Under the supervision of the Pharmacist\/Medical Supervisor of specified camp, and technically under PharmaCo, the Drug Dispenser will be responsible for the following main activities in order to ensure the quality of care in the mobile clinics:\n<ul>\n<li>Stock management in link with mobile clinics<\/li>\n<li>Distribution of drugs during the mobile clinics<\/li>\n<li>Collection, computerization and analysis of pharmacy data<\/li>\n<li>Reporting and attendance to required meetings<\/li>\n<li>Supporting existing MdM healthcare teams during emergencies<\/li>\n<li>Filling personnel gaps where needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tasks Description<\/strong><br \/>\nStock management in link with mobile clinics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare all the necessary drugs, material and equipment for mobile clinics and ensure that everything is ready before to leave MdM office<\/li>\n<li>Realize the pharmacy stock management (in\/out) at the mobile clinic<\/li>\n<li>Calculate daily consumption for each item in order to anticipate any shortage<\/li>\n<li>Do a weekly physical inventory of mobile clinic pharmacy<\/li>\n<li>Prepare drugs orders to MdM central pharmacy with the assistance of the medical doctors and paramedics staff<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Distribution of drugs during the mobile clinics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Explain the potential side effects of a drug to the patient<\/li>\n<li>Fill in the daily consumption form for each item<\/li>\n<li>Ensure patient confidentiality is respected and treat all the patients with respect and dignity.<\/li>\n<li>Give the drugs according to the medical prescription.<\/li>\n<li>Ask the medical doctor or the midwife to complete their prescription in case of incomplete information (dosage, duration\u2026)<\/li>\n<li>Indicate the name, presentation and dosage of the drugs on the dispensing bag.<\/li>\n<li>Explain to the patient how to take the treatment and make sure that the explanations have been understood<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Collection, computerization and analysis of weekly drugs consumption:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collect the daily mobile clinic consumption<\/li>\n<li>Participate to the weekly computerization and analysis of the drugs consumption<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Reporting and attendance to different meetings:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare a weekly activities report to submit to the pharmacist and team leader<\/li>\n<li>Participate in a pro-active way to MdM internal meetings (medical, security\u2026)<\/li>\n<li>Participate to all the trainings organized by MDM.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Others:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Give suggestions to improve the functioning of MDM mobile clinics<\/li>\n<li>Participate to the loading and unloading of the vehicles and to the setting up of the mobile clinics<\/li>\n<li>Be flexible in performing his\/her duties to ensure that beneficiaries are getting good quality services<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the proper use and maintenance of assigned equipment<\/li>\n<li>Perform other additional duties on request of the team leader<\/li>\n<li>Inform immediately the security focal point in case of any security problem in the field<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Profile Required<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pharmacist Preferred<\/li>\n<li>Strong work ethic and rigor<\/li>\n<li>Languages (spoken and written): English, Kanuri and Hausa<\/li>\n<li>Excel and word<\/li>\n<li>Flexibility<\/li>\n<li>Team player<\/li>\n<li>Experience in similar position for at least 2 years<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge in dispensing and medical stock management<\/li>\n<li>Capacities in team management<\/li>\n<li>Strong
