the vacant position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Polytechnic Librarian \u2013 CONPCASS 15<br \/>\nLocation:<\/strong>\u00a0Lagos<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Polytechnic Librarian is a Principal Officer of the Polytechnic and reports to the Rector for the day-to-day administration of the Library<\/li>\n<li>He\/She is the administrative and academic Head of the Library.<\/li>\n<li>Please note that this office is tenured for a single term of 5 years only.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualification and Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The applicant should have a good number of scholarly publications in peer reviewed journals<\/li>\n<li>Candidate must be proficient in Information Technology: in particular, Library Management Software (LMS) and automation<\/li>\n<li>He\/She must possess excellent managerial, interpersonal, communication, organizational and planning skills<\/li>\n<li>Must be registered with the Librarian Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN).<\/li>\n<li>Candidate must be a serving Deputy Librarian or its equivalent with good Honours Degree and Master\u2019s Degree in Library Science\/Library and Information Science<\/li>\n<li>Possession of a Doctorate Degree in Library Science\/Library and Information Science will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>He\/She should have at least 15 years post-qualification cognate experience, preferably in a tertiary institution or other related establishments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Framing overall Library policy, personal contacts and liaison with other departments;<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of the Library budget;<\/li>\n<li>Responsible to the Rector for the smooth running of the Libraries of the Institution.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Remuneration<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Polytechnic Librarian\u2019s basic salary is in line with the tertiary institution&#8217;s structure of CONPCASS 15 including other benefits and allowances that may be approved by the Governing Council of the Institution.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified
