We are passionate about brewing and have a long tradition of craftsmanship, making superb beer from high quality natural ingredients.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Environment Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Reference Number:<\/strong> ENVM001<br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Port Harcourt, Rivers<br \/>\n<strong>Type:<\/strong> Permanent<br \/>\n<strong>Work Level:<\/strong> Senior Management<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nAmongst other duties, the Environmental Manager will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate public hearings and consultations on environmental matters<\/li>\n<li>Manage relations with the board of directors, senior management and internal staff<\/li>\n<li>Train staff at all levels on environmental issues and responsibilities<\/li>\n<li>Participate in environmental education and research<\/li>\n<li>Negotiate environmental service agreements and manage associated costs and revenues<\/li>\n<li>Write environmental reports, assuming the lead responsibility with the company<\/li>\n<li>Set organizational sustainability targets, and develop plans to meet those targets and oversee their delivery.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement environmental strategies and action plans, to ensure corporate sustainable development<\/li>\n<li>Take the lead on sustainable procurement for all goods and services<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate all aspects of pollution control, waste management, recycling, environmental health, conservation and renewable energy<\/li>\n<li>Lead the implementation of environmental policies and practices<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and keep up to date with Environmental regulation and legislation<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with relevant bodies such as local authorities, public bodies and competent bodies<\/li>\n<li>Audit, analyze and report environmental performance to internal and external clients and regulatory bodies<\/li>\n<li>Carry out impact assessments to identify, assess and reduce an organisation\u2019s environmental risks and financial costs<\/li>\n<li>Promote and raise awareness, at all levels of an organisation, of the impact of emerging environmental issues<\/li>\n<li>Implement best practice in areas of corporate, ethical and social responsibility and address any issues arising<\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement environmental management systems to continually improve the impact of the organization on the environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree\/HND in Bio-science, Ecology, Environmental Science\/Mgt. or equivalents<\/li>\n<li>M.Sc\/MBA will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Relevant professional qualification.<\/li>\n<li>3 \u2013 4 years of experience as Environmental Manager\/Coordinator in a Brewery or FMCG environment<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Key Competencies and Attributes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to understand and utilize systems to carry out problem solving<\/li>\n<li>Excellent skills to Stimulate and manage change<\/li>\n<li>High level of commercial awareness and an understanding of business<\/li>\n<li>Ability to think effectively and able to work under pressure<\/li>\n<li>Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage projects as well as produce and deliver presentations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Salary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Market Related<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/sabmiller.mcidirecthire.com\/External\/Job?Ref=TEkBhDYErs0qhHgueWeCgt%2fyRI%2bcnPLR1MRk1RR6Cpou3ktpvROhSqni%2fBGkK6j0hXsYJC%2fmkvdyrHimT2d6KSVBs2W4cWbu63JDZ1VEFM31x0hOpMapWz1wGrVTEtIWFoQWodrkNzFAWI7dfcFeGA%3d%3d\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Click here to apply<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SABMiller is in the beer and soft drinks business, bringing refreshment and sociability to millions of people all over the world who enjoy our drinks.
