{"id":62538,"date":"2018-08-24T11:45:17","date_gmt":"2018-08-24T10:45:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/?p=62538"},"modified":"2018-08-24T11:43:04","modified_gmt":"2018-08-24T10:43:04","slug":"nlng-ship-management-limited-latest-job-vacancies-2-positions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/nlng-ship-management-limited-latest-job-vacancies-2-positions.html","title":{"rendered":"NLNG Ship Management Limited Latest Job Vacancies [2 Positions]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NLNG Ship Management Limited (NSML), a subsidiary of Nigeria LNG Limited, seeks to engage personnel for immediate employment in the capacity below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Senior Instructor<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Ref No<\/strong>: NSH\/NSE11\/2018\/08\/001<br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Office \u2013 Bonny Island, Rivers<br \/>\n<strong>Job Grade:<\/strong> Officer<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nThe Job<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for carrying out curriculum design, development, implementation and evaluation (validation) of scenarios and courses while conducting, instructing and accessing on marine deck and engine simulator based trainings, as well as proficiency assessment of personnel prior to promotion or job assignment in accordance with the NSML Integrated Training Strategy (NITS).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The duties will include, but are not limited to the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare, instruct and assess courses for marine deck and engine simulator based training and facilitate the development of course curriculum and new opportunities with appropriate expertise. Keep abreast of new regulations and changes in the industry and effect such changes in the course delivery.<\/li>\n<li>Function as an expert resource in matters relating to simulation including educational design and delivery, evaluation and the use of the simulator equipment in maritime research for providing solutions and continuous improvement of the company\u2019s business.<\/li>\n<li>Maintenance of the simulator equipment and other educational tools to ensure reliability. Providing technical support and assistance in setting up and testing of the simulation equipment. Compliance with the equipment manufacturer Long Term System Service Plan and ensuring value for money service agreements.<\/li>\n<li>Review training processes and recommend procedural or policy change to improve operations as well as the continuous review and improvement in the implementation of the NSML Integrated Training Strategy.<\/li>\n<li>Maintenance of training records, reports and appropriate archiving in accordance with approval standards. Assess and record student achievement, monitor student performance and maintain records. Assist in student guidance and learning support.<\/li>\n<li>Carry out orientation of new instructors to principles of simulation training and debriefing techniques. Conduct competency based trainings and assessment, and provide feedback from trainees and instructors.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate and verify employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and demonstrated abilities in the simulator. Actively develop employee through training activities, review their performance and jointly carry out proficiency assessment of personnel prior to promotion or job assignment in conjunction with the HR, terminal and fleet manager.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with the accredited MCOE (Maritime Centre of Excellence) QMS (Quality Management System) and training standards. Contribute to the growth and development of the MCOE\/NSML business activities and ensure adherence to the company\u2019s HSE policy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The Person<\/strong><br \/>\nThe right candidate should:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have a minimum of Class 2 Deck Certificate of Competency issued by an internationally recognized\u00a0 Maritime Flag State<\/li>\n<li>Academic degree (BSc, MSc or PhD) in relevant field will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 7 years in the Marine industry including service on Gas and or Oil tankers and must have attained up to the rank of Chief Officer and above for not less than 2 years.<\/li>\n<li>Shore side operational\/technical experience in an oil or gas terminal, marine simulator facility or within a reputable &amp; internationally recognized Ship Management organization will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Interested and qualified candidates should:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSeYDF7IpIRruu8EJczliWa2XLG3MZQt-WzQw7BoLk96rwcAuw\/viewform?c=0&amp;w=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Click here to apply<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Head, Training and Development<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Ref:<\/strong> NSH\/NSE1\/2018\/08\/002<br \/>\n<strong>Location<\/strong>: Office \u2013 Bonny Island<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Job<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for carrying out curriculum design, development, implementation and evaluation (validation) of MCOE proprietary courses while conducting and instructing on marine deck and engine simulator based trainings as well as provision and implementation of holistic NSML training strategy to ensure availability of qualified and competent manpower for all NSML functions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The Duties<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare and manage the yearly training calendar. Facilitate and assess courses for marine deck and engine simulator based training and assist in the development of course curricula with appropriate expertise. keep abreast of subject and teachinh changes in the industry<\/li>\n<li>Manage the implementation of the NSML Integrated Training Strategy for all NSML employees. Identify and manage the training and capacity development strategy within the NSML organization and assist in evaluating personnel performance through job analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with business managers and human resources departments<\/li>\n<li>Design, expand and implement the Seafarers Continuous Development Plan onboard NSML managed vessels in liason with the HR and Fleet Mgmt. teams<\/li>\n<li>Manage the approved Training budget, ensuring all operational activities are conducted within the approved budget and the maintenance of financial information on officers and cadets\u2019 training cost to control expenditure optimize the use of training budget to minimize wastage<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the development of educational material and function as an expert resource in matters relating to simulation including educational design and delivery, evalution and research while assisting in identifying and coordinating the research activities which includes the utilization of Ship Simulation facility as per the center\u2019s strategic plan<\/li>\n<li>Actively participate in employee development through training activities and to review their performance and jointly carry out proficiency assessment of personnel prior to promotion or job assignment in conjunction with the HR, terminal and fleet manager<\/li>\n<li>Work in line with the requirements of the MCOE QMS.
