We provide humanitarian assistance in disasters and work for long-term development in local communities and societies. In order to address the root causes of poverty, we advocate for just decisions by public authorities, businesses and religious leaders.<\/p>\n<p>NCA has a presence in Nigeria to respond to the Humanitarian crisis in Northeast Nigeria and will scale up an emergency response in the Cross River states. NCA has its core competencies in Gender Based Violence and Water Sanitation and Hygiene. NCA has its strengths in works and invest in local partners ensures building their capacities are built from the onset of response, in order to enable them have the capacity to respond in a long-term intervention including recovery and development.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Shelter Assistant<br \/>\nLocation:<\/strong>\u00a0Adikpo, Benue State with frequent travel to field locations in the Cross River State.<br \/>\n<strong>Reporting to:<\/strong> Head of Mission<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Duties<\/strong><br \/>\nGeneric Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure\u00a0 that the beneficiaries and community are involved in the project implementation<\/li>\n<li>Conduct regular meetings with community members to discuss program objectives, and mobilize the community participation and act as a mentor throughout the planning and implementation processes.<\/li>\n<li>Routinely monitor the projects activities and feedback findings to the community members and other stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for generating weekly action plan<\/li>\n<li>Participate in the selection of beneficiaries and training for beneficiaries<\/li>\n<li>Performs any other duties as requested by the supervisor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Specific Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Shelter Assistant is expected to achieve the following during this contract period:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supervise the construction of shelter and other infrastructure are in line with the approved design and bill of quantities.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for training and on job coaching carpenters and IDPs participating in the construction<\/li>\n<li>Perform other duties as required by program needs and requested byline manager.<\/li>\n<li>Timely reporting, on a weekly and monthly basis, (identifying gaps, risks and bottlenecks that can obstruct proper implementation of activities)<\/li>\n<li>Work with his line manager to ensure volunteer and construction schedule is accurate and achievable.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure timely delivery of construction materials.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications\/Skills Required<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Completion of university degree in Database, Humanities, Social Studies, or another relevant degree<\/li>\n<li>Minimum one years of experience in international and\/or local NGO; ideally involved in the direct implementation of field level humanitarian assistance to refugees or IDPs.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in community services, women empowerment, youth activities, protection, distribution or registration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Preferred experience:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proficiency in English and local language, both oral and written.<\/li>\n<li>Preferable experience operating in a refugee\/IDP camp environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) Assistant<br \/>\nLocation:<\/strong>\u00a0Adikpo, Benue state with frequent travel to field locations in the Cross River States.<br \/>\n<strong>Reporting to:<\/strong> Head of Mission<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Implement CCCM activities as requested by the CCCM Advisor<\/li>\n<li>Lead in making sure information management tools are updated regularly<\/li>\n<li>Assisting in all aspects of the creation and monitoring of camp committees<\/li>\n<li>Assisting in carrying out assessments and surveys within the site<\/li>\n<li>Orienting incentivized labour hired from within the camp<\/li>\n<li>Ensure timely and adequate registration of IDPs in camp, including identification of persons with specific needs in coordination with protection partners.<\/li>\n<li>Spearheading outreach campaigns in the camp and ensuring that information is being properly conveyed and circulated to the camp community<\/li>\n<li>Monitor status of population and highlighting trends with camp management team<\/li>\n<li>Treat community members in a sensitive and humane manner<\/li>\n<li>Assist in any other areas related with CCCM as may be requested by line
