{"id":62949,"date":"2018-08-30T16:30:15","date_gmt":"2018-08-30T15:30:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/?p=62949"},"modified":"2018-08-30T14:57:49","modified_gmt":"2018-08-30T13:57:49","slug":"action-hunger-new-job-recruitment-share-apply","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/action-hunger-new-job-recruitment-share-apply.html","title":{"rendered":"Action Against Hunger New Job Recruitment &#8211; Share &#038; Apply!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Action Against Hunger works to save lives by combating hunger and diseases that threaten the lives of vulnerable communities, through nutrition, food security, water and sanitation, health and advocacy.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0PHP &amp; NFI Officer<br \/>\nLocation<\/strong>: Monguno, Borno<br \/>\n<strong>Job Type:<\/strong> Full Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This position will be based in Monguno, Borno State and will be directly supervised by the Sector Manager \u2013 WASH.<\/li>\n<li>The WASH Public Health Promotion Officer is accountable for the overall implementation of the Public Health Promotion and Non-Food Items distribution of the WASH project.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Task and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure that the PHP &amp; NFI team members are fully aware of the hygiene promotion strategy and all activities are in line with strategy activities.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare training tools on relevant technical topics and conduct training for both internal staff and external stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise closely with the WASH Sector manager throughout the planning, design and implementation stages of WASH technical activities.<\/li>\n<li>Overall supervision of Public Health Promotion and Non-Food Items distribution activities following AAH\u2019s local strategy and International Guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>In coordination with the Sector Manager, Participate in the development of culturally appropriate IEC materials, conduct pre-test at community level to inform the final design. Disseminate IEC materials alongside hygiene promotion activities. This should be drawn up as a communication plan.<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with the WASH Engineering team in the implementation of WASH activities especially in the area of community engagement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Position Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of a Bachelor\u2019s degree\/HND in Public Health, Social Science and other related fields.<\/li>\n<li>Capacity to be adaptable and flexible.<\/li>\n<li>Commitment to Action Against Hunger mission, values and policy.<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of the intervention area\/s and local economy.<\/li>\n<li>At least 2 years relevant working experience in supervising hygiene promotion and community mobilization activities in the humanitarian sector.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent Microsoft Office skills and ability to write quality reports.<\/li>\n<li>Willing and able to be based and travel regularly within remote areas, where services are limited<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in Hausa, Kanuri and English.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/acfinternational.applytojob.com\/apply\/ZnsrLrUv6A\/PHP-NFI-Officer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Click here to apply<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline\u00a0<\/strong>5th September, 2018.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advert may close before due date once we receive applications from qualified candidates<\/li>\n<li>Qualified women are strongly encouraged to apply.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Action Against Hunger works to save lives by combating hunger and diseases that threaten the lives of vulnerable communities, through nutrition, food security, water and sanitation, health and advocacy.
