The Nutrition Officer is required to implement the nutrition activities at the community.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tasks and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify financial requirements, logistic needs, HR support in reference to work plan and inform Deputy Nut &amp; Health manager to prepare budget forecast.<\/li>\n<li>Review financial, logistical and HR needs on a monthly &amp; quarterly basis and share with deputy nutrition and health manager.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all health facilities\/sites have adequate supplies to delivery uninterrupted health care services through identifying needs, informing line manager on regular basis.<\/li>\n<li>Systematic capacity building of SMOH staff on health service delivery (IMCI, Ante Natal &amp; Post Natal Care, Delivery services) including CMAM and SC management.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and update information management, reporting and coordination.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure Nutrition and Health situation monitoring and mapping of sector activities.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct periodic Mass MUAC screening in operational areas in collaboration with Community Mobilization teams and care group promoters, volunteers; support Deputy Nutrition and Health manager in drafting report.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in conducting SMART\/Rapid SMART surveys with technical support from Deputy HN Manager\/Sector Manager.<\/li>\n<li>Regular monitoring and supervision of Community based nutrition and health service delivery to ensure that services are provided with recommended national technical standards.<\/li>\n<li>Regular monitoring and supervision of Community based nutrition and health service delivery to ensure that services are provided with recommended national technical standards.<\/li>\n<li>Develop LGA work plan with specific roles and responsibilities between Nut &amp; Health Officers and Assistant Nut &amp; Health Officers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Position Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in Health, Nutrition, Nursing or related field with 2 years working experience within humanitarian contexts, with at least 1 year in conflict\/insecure contexts.<\/li>\n<li>Commitment to Action Against Hunger mission, values and policy.<\/li>\n<li>Fluent in English and other local languages (Kanuri, Fulani, Hausa).<\/li>\n<li>Previous NGO experience in managing mobilization in different interventions (i.e. Cash transfers, WASH, Nutrition).<\/li>\n<li>Able and willing to frequently travel to villages and stay at the field.<\/li>\n<li>Capacity to supervise and coach health workers.<\/li>\n<li>Professional, motivated, flexible and culturally sensitive.<\/li>\n<li>Possess excellent team, budget, project management and representation competencies.<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in statistical softwares (Microsoft Office package, SPSS, SPHINX, STATA, EPI Info, ENA for SMART, GIS, etc.).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/acfinternational.applytojob.com\/apply\/eLAInLXIHg\/Nutrition-Officer-4-Positions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Click here to apply<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline\u00a0<\/strong>7th September, 2018.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advert may close before due date once we receive applications from qualified candidates<\/li>\n<li>Qualified women are strongly encouraged to apply.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Action Against Hunger works to save lives by combating hunger and diseases that threaten the lives of vulnerable communities, through nutrition, food security, water and sanitation, health and advocacy.
