On the ground in nearly 40 countries, Pact\u2019s integrated adaptive approach is shaping the future of international development.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Business and Program Development Consultant<br \/>\nLocation:<\/strong>\u00a0Abuja<\/p>\n<p><strong>Background<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pact West Africa (Nigeria) is a Country Office of Pact, an international non-governmental and non-profit organization with its headquarters in Washington, DC. We envision a world where everyone owns their own future.<\/li>\n<li>To do this, we build systemic solutions in partnership with local organizations, businesses, and governments that create sustainable and resilient communities where those we serve are heard, capable, and vibrant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Consultant will support the Pact West Africa office in expanding impact by coordinating new business efforts.<\/li>\n<li>The jobholder will conduct research and be able to lead and drive engagements to actively grow relationships with traditional and non -traditional partners. He\/she will also support program implementation of existing projects and enhance Pact\u2019s visibility in Nigeria.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Business Development Role:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and execute Pact West Africa\u2019s strategy to engage traditional and non-traditional donors, including corporations and foundations.<\/li>\n<li>Research and identify development trends, prospects, and growth opportunities; compile and maintain information related to key contacts, organizations, and overlapping interests with Pact programming.<\/li>\n<li>In partnership with Pact supporting teams:<\/li>\n<li>Seek out partnerships with the private sector; identify opportunities for partnership that drive business value and provide mutual benefits.<\/li>\n<li>Explore opportunities and business cases for partnership that may include social enterprise, social impact investment, microfinance, renewable energy, artisanal and small-scale mining.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate discussions, negotiations and agreements with partner\/funding organizations.<\/li>\n<li>Lead\/support proposal development and writing processes.<\/li>\n<li>Represent Pact through attendance at donor, private sector and public-sector functions, such as events and conferences; cultivate prospects and partners and share relevant learning.<\/li>\n<li>Enhance Pact\u2019s visibility in the development sector in Nigeria<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Strategy \/Program Management Role:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct regular monitoring visits to project implementation sites.<\/li>\n<li>Participate actively in technical meetings and national working groups\/task forces.<\/li>\n<li>Develop a mechanism for reviewing, monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the Country Strategy<\/li>\n<li>Support Pact\u2019s Monitoring and Evaluation Team to identify and document Key Performance Indicators and methods for program monitoring and evaluation, including beneficiary feedback loops for adaptability and learning.<\/li>\n<li>Support project interventions to develop the capacity of state and non- state partners.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure appropriate donor management systems, records and processes are in place, up-to-date and in compliance with Pact policy and practice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Competence using common desktop applications, including MS Word and Excel.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent ability to communicate, establish and maintain high level relations with government, private sector and development sector players, including donors.<\/li>\n<li>Possesses positive attitude, self-motivated, independent, can deliver results under stress and timely manner, team worker.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent proposal and report writing skills.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced knowledge of the development sector in Nigeria.<\/li>\n<li>Masters in a relevant field (e.g. Social Sciences, International Development, Business, Development Studies, MBA) and 8-10 years\u2019 experience.<\/li>\n<li>Experience developing new business development strategies for INGOs<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of intersection between private sector interests and non-profit needs and how to bridge the two.<\/li>\n<li>Successful track record of facilitating linkages between the private sector and non-profits, preferably in Nigeria<\/li>\n<li>Experience in public private partnerships is a plus<\/li>\n<li>Work experience in program design and management, implementation and\/or evaluation for non-profits<\/li>\n<li>Knowledgeable in one or more of Pact\u2019s West Africa\u2019s technical areas (social enterprise development; microfinance; Small Scale &amp; Artisanal Mining, renewable energy).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their CV\u2019s to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:pactngprocurement@pactworld.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>pactngprocurement@pactworld.org<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline\u00a0<\/strong>19th September, 2018.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pact is the promise of a better tomorrow for communities challenged by poverty and marginalization.
