{"id":63211,"date":"2018-09-04T14:13:11","date_gmt":"2018-09-04T13:13:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/?p=63211"},"modified":"2018-09-04T14:13:11","modified_gmt":"2018-09-04T13:13:11","slug":"african-reinsurance-corporation-new-ongoing-recruitment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/african-reinsurance-corporation-new-ongoing-recruitment.html","title":{"rendered":"African Reinsurance Corporation New Ongoing Recruitment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The African Reinsurance Corporation (Africa Re) is the leading pan-African reinsurance company and the largest re-insurer in Africa and the Middle East in terms of net reinsurance written premiums.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Risk &amp; Compliance Officer<br \/>\nLocation:\u00a0<\/strong>Head Office, Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Job Type:<\/strong> Full Time<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nResponsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The successful candidate shall support in the Department in risk management &amp; compliance processes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Duties\/Job Details<\/strong><br \/>\nThe duties of the Risk &amp; Compliance Officer shall comprise amongst others the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage business continuity plans<\/li>\n<li>Generate and prepare risk reports<\/li>\n<li>Support in enterprise-wide risk sensitization and communication<\/li>\n<li>Support in coordinating rating exercises<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with risk champions to regularly collect risk and financial data and perform analyses on such data<\/li>\n<li>Support the Risk &amp; Compliance department in the periodic risk management process<\/li>\n<li>Update and manage the Corporation\u2019s risk software<\/li>\n<li>Support in analyzing data and assumptions to be used in risk and capital modelling<\/li>\n<li>Monitor risk exposures and compliance with risk policies<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with business units to obtain KYC information on existing and new clients as well as performing due diligence on such clients<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications And Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First University Degree in relevant fields (Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Actuarial Science);<\/li>\n<li>4-5 Years of experience in risk Management &amp; compliance role;<\/li>\n<li>Relevant work experience in the Insurance and\/or Reinsurance industry will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Main Competencies Required For This Position:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Very high integrity and good sense of responsibility;<\/li>\n<li>Good interpersonal skills;<\/li>\n<li>Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel tool and excellent skills in other MS Office applications (Word, Access, PowerPoint).<\/li>\n<li>Sound knowledge in data analysis and interpretation of financial statements;<\/li>\n<li>Very high numerical and analytical skills;<\/li>\n<li>Sound knowledge of the financial services industry;<\/li>\n<li>Very good reporting skills;<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as proven writing and reporting skills;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to multitask and learnt fast;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Additional Requirements For Candidates For This Position<\/strong><br \/>\nApplicants must also be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fluent in English, working knowledge of French will be an added advantage;<\/li>\n<li>Nationals of Members state of Africa-Re<\/li>\n<li>Not more than 35 years old<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Salary and Benefits<\/strong><br \/>\nThe successful candidate shall have the following benefits:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Competitive Basic Salary on the Corporation\u2019s Grade Level SS3<\/li>\n<li>Variable pay (Annual Performance Bonus)<\/li>\n<li>Joint contribution to the Provident Fund (7% of the basic salary paid by staff and 14% by the employer)<\/li>\n<li>Children education subsidy for each child up to 26 years (maximum 4 children)<\/li>\n<li>Medical cover for staff and family;<\/li>\n<li>Housing Allowance<\/li>\n<li>Transport Allowance<\/li>\n<li>Inflation Adjustment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.africa-re.com\/en\/current-vacancies\/posting\/57\/risk-compliance-officer-head-office-lagos-nigeria\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Click here to apply<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline\u00a0<\/strong>15th September, 2018.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The African Reinsurance Corporation (Africa Re) is the leading pan-African reinsurance company and the largest re-insurer in Africa and the Middle East in terms of net reinsurance written premiums.
