Join the team and help us deliver tomorrow\u2019s GE, today.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a012C Cash Collector<br \/>\nLocation:<\/strong>\u00a0Lagos, Nigeria<br \/>\n<strong>Job Function:<\/strong> Finance<br \/>\n<strong>Business Segment:<\/strong> Global Operations Account Receivables Center of Excellence<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nRole Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for driving the cash collection process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Essential Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nCollections:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Build relationships with customers and supported businesses aimed at enabling timely payment, issue resolution and building compliant process<\/li>\n<li>Customer contact for early collection, escalation and resolution to ensure collection per payment terms<\/li>\n<li>Resolve customer inquiries promptly &amp; accurately, by understanding customer market &amp; needs<\/li>\n<li>Proactively and timely partner with P&amp;L, finance &amp; operations teams to drive past dues reduction<\/li>\n<li>Support prompt customer resolution of issues; proactively raise customer disputes, initiate escalations and follow up on snag for timely resolution<\/li>\n<li>Manage assigned portfolio and set collections targets including review of client data, patterns and key trends<\/li>\n<li>Proactive follow up on timely and accurate cash application through provision of support<\/li>\n<li>Delivery of manual customer invoices and dispatch of statements<\/li>\n<li>Identify and log customer complaints, disputes in the system<\/li>\n<li>Be responsible for customer financial order approval\/releases (if needed), by balancing the needs of the customer with the financial realities of their liquidity<\/li>\n<li>Have a controllership overview of the dunning cycle\/letters<\/li>\n<li>Deposit\/Banking of customer cheques where the need arises<\/li>\n<li>Support Cash Application team gathering payment details from customer and reconcile account if needed<\/li>\n<li>Accomplish all responsibilities in line with GE\u2019s compliance and integrity requirements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Reporting, Metrics + Op. Mech.:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure completeness of documentation and weekly visibility of collectible and non-collectible AR<\/li>\n<li>Track all non-collectibles, initiate dispute tracking where applicable and provide accurate\/complete details<\/li>\n<li>Escalate all accounts with payment risk and follow up for appropriate actions<\/li>\n<li>Publish weekly AR status and quarterly trends by customers as well as cash forecasts<\/li>\n<li>Drive consistent metric definitions &amp; process for measurement across all platforms<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Leadership + Controllership:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure compliance\/adherence to Global Enterprise Standards &amp; Controllership guidelines<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate O2C and WCS teams, GE businesses, Controllership &amp; Compliance teams<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications\/Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In Nigeria: a valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate will be required (please indicate clearly on your resume)<\/li>\n<li>In Nigeria: must have valid authorization to work full-time without any restriction in Nigeria<\/li>\n<li>In other countries than Nigeria: must have valid authorization to work full-time without any restriction in the role\u2019s location<\/li>\n<li>Degree in Finance or Business Management or equivalent knowledge or experience or sound collections (3+ years) experience<\/li>\n<li>3+ years O2C or finance experience &amp; exposure to virtual\/remote team<\/li>\n<li>Experience of work with multiple teams both GE &amp; 3rd party across region<\/li>\n<li>Ability to influence &amp; work collaboratively with matrixed teams<\/li>\n<li>Strong communicator, building relationships with internal partners &amp; external customers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desired Characteristics<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to deal effectively with rapid &amp; changing priorities<\/li>\n<li>Good communications skills to manage stakeholder expectations<\/li>\n<li>Ability to adapt quickly to changes<\/li>\n<li>Sound computer skills: Excel is required<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of business revenue recognition and Controllership policies<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to drive issue resolution &amp; manage escalations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/jobs.gecareers.com\/ShowJob\/Id\/63649\/12C-Cash-Collector\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Click here to apply<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Global Operations is GE\u2019s multi-functional shared services.
