From a single country organisation founded in 1949 in Nigeria, UBA has grown to become a Pan-African provider of financial services with over 11 million customers, through close to 1000 business offices and touch points globally.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the vacant position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Recovery Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Reference No:<\/strong> #RMD0011<br \/>\n<strong>Locations:<\/strong>\u00a0Abuja, Benin City \u2013 Edo, Lagos and Port Harcourt \u2013 Rivers<br \/>\n<strong>Job Functions:<\/strong> Sales<br \/>\n<strong>Industries:<\/strong> Banking \/ Finance &amp; Investment<\/p>\n<p><strong>Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We are currently looking for experienced candidates with very sound Loan Recovery experience to lead teams in the following locations: North Central, Benin, Port Harcourt and Lagos.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Recovery of watch-list accounts &amp; transferred accounts with early warning signals to avoid further deterioration<\/li>\n<li>Manage relationship with debtor customers to ensure compliance with repayment agreements, court orders, regulatory request (EFCC, CBN, Police etc) &amp; restructure request.<\/li>\n<li>Review, process and reconcile accounts of indebted customers complaints to ensure amicable resolution &amp; payment of agreed sum<\/li>\n<li>Conduct and document recovery visitation to customers<\/li>\n<li>Management of Memorandum bad debts portfolio and Loan Loss portfolio within assigned business offices<\/li>\n<li>Originate Loan repayment proposals for requests from indebted customers for management\u2019s consideration.<\/li>\n<li>Initiate proposals for realization, repossession, and sale of pledged assets and properties of indebted customers.<\/li>\n<li>Rendition of monthly debt recovery reports for the zone to the ZH for onward submission to Financial reporting, Performance management and DH, Remedial Management &amp; Credit Recovery Division<\/li>\n<li>Achieve recovery financial target in line with advised budget<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\nQualification:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At Least Second Class Lower in Law \/ Humanities and not more than 35 years old<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Experience:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least 3 years work experience as Recovery officer in Financial services\/ Law firms<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Skill\/Competencies:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Basic banking operations knowledge.<\/li>\n<li>Effective reporting<\/li>\n<li>Negotiating Skills.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of the Loan Recovery function.<\/li>\n<li>Basic credit Skills.<\/li>\n<li>Good Customer relations<\/li>\n<li>Communication Skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/uba.jb.skillsmapafrica.com\/Job\/Index\/24643\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Click here to apply<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline\u00a0<\/strong>19th September, 2018.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA) is one of Africa\u2019s leading financial institutions, with operations in 19 African countries and 3 global financial centres: London, Paris and New York.
