Waje is an innovative organisation that combines professional engineering experience and reliable cutting-edge technologies to provide solutions that solve day to day problems that are prevalent especially in emerging third world markets like Africa.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Front End Developer<br \/>\nLocation:<\/strong>\u00a0Lagos<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We are looking for a Front-End Web Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming.<\/li>\n<li>Responsibilities will include translation of the UI\/UX design wire frames to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application.<\/li>\n<li>You will work with the UI\/UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all user input is validated before submitting to the back-end.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Develop new user-facing features.<\/li>\n<li>Build reusable code and libraries for future use.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the technical feasibility of UI\/UX designs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills and Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Make sure to mention any other framework, library, or any other technology related to your development stack.<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of depending on the specific case, a developer should have the knowledge of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS, DurandalJS etc.<\/li>\n<li>Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.<\/li>\n<li>Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery.<\/li>\n<li>Proficient understanding of web mark-up, including HTML5, CSS3.<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.<\/li>\n<li>Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image.
