{"id":64172,"date":"2018-09-21T11:01:07","date_gmt":"2018-09-21T10:01:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/?p=64172"},"modified":"2018-09-21T11:00:27","modified_gmt":"2018-09-21T10:00:27","slug":"action-hunger-new-graduate-recruitment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/action-hunger-new-graduate-recruitment.html","title":{"rendered":"Action Against Hunger New Graduate Recruitment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Action Against Hunger works to save lives by combating hunger and diseases that threaten the lives of vulnerable communities, through nutrition, food security, water and sanitation, health and advocacy.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position of:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Finance Assistant<br \/>\nLocation<\/strong>: Damasak, Borno<br \/>\n<strong>Job Type:<\/strong> Full Time<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nJob Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The position is based in Damasak, Borno State and report to the Finance Officer.<\/li>\n<li>The Finance Assistant is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day financial and program activities of the base office to ensure successful implementation of Action Against Hunger programs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tasks and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Make payments and verify the consistency of supporting documents submitted in accordance with the Action Against Hunger procedures, ensuring all invoices are accurate, consistent and signed.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the physical cash box and the Excel\/Saga cash book correspond on a daily basis.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance of the supply chain guidelines and payment mode.<\/li>\n<li>Verify that the accounting codes, the project codes and the budget codes are accurate.<\/li>\n<li>File and track all the invoices\/documents (base financial books).<\/li>\n<li>Manage the base\u2019s cash box and ensure that all advances made within the month are justified before the final monthly cash count.<\/li>\n<li>Comply with purchasing procedures, supply chain guidelines and payment mode.<\/li>\n<li>Train vendors on financial procedures and payment policies.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate payment at the field in support of program activities.<\/li>\n<li>Support the implementation of the program\u2019s cash transfer guidelines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Position Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Minimum of a Bachelor\u2019s Degree\/HND in Accounting, Management, Finance, or related field.<\/li>\n<li>Good interpersonal skills\u00a0 (communication, able to negotiate, influence, give effective feedback, be a team player).<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 1 year experience in a finance and administration-related role.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with donor-funded programs would be appreciated<\/li>\n<li>Strong computer skills, and familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage and follow work plans.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/acfinternational.applytojob.com\/apply\/xK7ZlmAUeP\/Finance-Assistant\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Click here to apply<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline\u00a0<\/strong>26th September, 2018.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This advert may close before the due date once we receive applications from qualified candidates<\/li>\n<li>Qualified women are strongly encouraged to apply.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Action Against Hunger works to save lives by combating hunger and diseases that threaten the lives of vulnerable communities, through nutrition, food security, water and sanitation, health and advocacy.
