{"id":64390,"date":"2018-09-24T14:30:25","date_gmt":"2018-09-24T13:30:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/?p=64390"},"modified":"2018-09-24T13:31:17","modified_gmt":"2018-09-24T12:31:17","slug":"management-sciences-health-new-ongoing-recruitment-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/management-sciences-health-new-ongoing-recruitment-2.html","title":{"rendered":"Management Sciences for Health New Ongoing Recruitment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Management Sciences for Health (MSH), a global health nonprofit organization, uses proven approaches developed over 40 years to help leaders, health managers, and communities in developing nations build stronger health systems for greater health impact.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Senior Grants Specialist<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job ID:<\/strong> 13-10200<br \/>\n<strong>Location<\/strong>: Abuja<br \/>\n<strong>Grade:<\/strong> I<br \/>\n<strong>Group\/Office:<\/strong> HPG<br \/>\n<strong>Dept\/Unit:<\/strong> GEN (General)<br \/>\n<strong>Project\/Program:<\/strong> A577 \u2013 PMI-S<br \/>\n<strong>Reports To:<\/strong> Director Finance &amp; Admin<\/p>\n<p><strong>Overview<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The purpose of the Senior Grants Specialist position is to assist the DFA to manage and coordinate MSH Nigeria\u2019s complex grants portfolio lending to a variety of Non-governmental organizations, faith based organizations, and community based organizations in order to strengthen health systems and improve health service delivery throughout Nigeria.<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with the supervisor to establish and follow a transparent grant process, and develop tools to implement the process, assuring that sound practices are applied at every stage of the grant process from guidelines to closeout.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Specific Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Grant Award and Agreement \u2013 Develop and finalize grant agreement for all grantees and carry out modifications as applicable<\/li>\n<li>Liaising with the technical team facilitate grant start up\/inception workshop for grantees, Prepare training sessions and conduct workshops in grants management , financial obligations, reporting management for grantees as necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Capacity building of team members.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that systems are in place in country to ensure that grants operations are managed and staff act in full compliance with local laws, adhere to contract\/award and donor requirements, and comply with MSH policies and standard operating procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Systems are in place to:\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure that appropriate staff members are aware of and understand laws, contract\/award and donor requirements, and MSH policies and procedures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and ensure compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Reporting Directly to Director of finance and administration; Responsible for management of the grant Cycle from solicitation, evaluation and selection, responsibility determination, Grant agreement and award, monitoring implementation and closeout<\/li>\n<li>Draft solicitations, document subrecipient source selection and grant mechanism to be adopted.
