Over 9,000 of some of the best businesses in Nigeria use Paystack\u2019s modern payments gateway, including MTN, Taxify, Domino\u2019s Pizza, Smile Communications, Opera, God is Good Motors, Axa Mansard Insurance, and many others.<\/p>\n<p>Within a little over 2 years, our close-knit team has introduced a steady cadence of innovations within the Nigerian system, such as automated recurring payments, the ability for customers to pay with only a bank account, automated chargebacks, and much more. We process well over $10 million in transactions monthly, and our double digit growth has us processing even more every month.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> Job Title: Senior Software Engineer<br \/>\nLocation<\/strong>: Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Job Type:<\/strong> Full-Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the Position<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We\u2019re looking for people with a strong background or interest in building successful products or systems; you\u2019re comfortable in dealing with lots of moving pieces; you have exquisite attention to detail, and you\u2019re comfortable learning new technologies and systems and helping people.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nYou Will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design, build and maintain APIs, services, and systems across Paystack\u2019s engineering teams.<\/li>\n<li>Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.<\/li>\n<li>Work with engineers across the company to build new features at large-scale.<\/li>\n<li>Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\nWhat we look for in you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>4+ years experience building software or web applications with object-oriented or functional programming languages. We build most of our systems with Javascript and we have a strong focus on writing clean, well designed and scalable code<\/li>\n<li>You have experience working with Unix based systems. Experience with AWS is an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in building large, highly available distributed systems.
