{"id":66011,"date":"2018-10-23T13:30:32","date_gmt":"2018-10-23T12:30:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/?p=66011"},"modified":"2018-10-23T12:49:31","modified_gmt":"2018-10-23T11:49:31","slug":"ashton-dave-travels-current-opportunity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/ashton-dave-travels-current-opportunity.html","title":{"rendered":"Ashton and Dave Travels Current Opportunity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ashton &amp; Dave Travels and Holidays Limited \u2013 We are an International Travel Agency that base in Lagos with branches and subsidiaries in other parts of the country.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Chef<br \/>\nLocation:<\/strong>\u00a0Port Harcourt, Rivers<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We seek applications from qualified and suitable candidates for the position of a Chef in our Port Harcourt Guest House from a growing offline and online hospitality brand, that would be saddled as follows:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Areas of Responsibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To ensure the production of high quality of food<\/li>\n<li>To control costs and expenses in the procurement of food, beverages and other kitchen allied items<\/li>\n<li>To ensure effective communication with staff members.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Scope of Work<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Random, regular checkup of all areas to ensure proper sanitation and hygiene<\/li>\n<li>Checking all food ingredients from the supplier at receiving bay<\/li>\n<li>Maximizing the productivity of staff through proper supervision<\/li>\n<li>To ensure guest\u2019s satisfaction in all food outlets<\/li>\n<li>Purchasing high quality products<\/li>\n<li>Plan and develop menus for all food outlets in the Guest House<\/li>\n<li>Analyzing and testing new products<\/li>\n<li>Follow up of daily market produce<\/li>\n<li>Controlling proper storage of food<\/li>\n<li>Production of high quality food<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Maximization of Profitability:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Controlling food production<\/li>\n<li>Controlling all other expenses<\/li>\n<li>Controlling maintenance of all equipment<\/li>\n<li>Weekly check in the local market for new products with the best value for money<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Commercial and Marketing:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Development of new menus<\/li>\n<li>Analysis of competition<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Education and Experience Required<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to calculate figures and amount such as discounts, proportions, and percentages<\/li>\n<li>Significant experience in the Food and Beverage Industry, especially in Kitchen Management<\/li>\n<li>Proven working experience as Head Chef.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent records of Kitchen Management<\/li>\n<li>Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently<\/li>\n<li>Capable of delegating multiple tasks<\/li>\n<li>Keep up with cooking trends and best practices<\/li>\n<li>Sensitivity to guests: good relationship skills<\/li>\n<li>Must be computer literate and must have work knowledge of various computer software programs (Micro Soft Offices, Restaurant Management software, POS, etc)<\/li>\n<li>Effective management.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to speak and write clearly, Must be able to listen to, read and\/or write instructions, memos, short correspondences and messages.
