communities, through nutrition, food security, water and sanitation, health and advocacy.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Front Desk Intern<br \/>\nLocation:\u00a0<\/strong>FCT, Abuja<br \/>\n<strong>Starting Date:<\/strong> November, 2018<br \/>\n<strong>Contract Duration:<\/strong> 6 months (non-renewable)<br \/>\n<strong>Line Manager:<\/strong> HR Mobility Officer<\/p>\n<p><strong>Objective 1 (Overall Office Management and Communication)\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>Tasks and Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage and oversee the day to day Action Against Hunger operations;<\/li>\n<li>On a daily basis, inspect and maintain the exterior premises (grounds and office building);<\/li>\n<li>Maintain an updated Nigeria Mission staff contact list;<\/li>\n<li>Receive the office newspapers and magazines.<\/li>\n<li>Receive all Nigerian mission visitors at the front desk, and ensure that the desk is covered at all times;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure smooth operations in the reception, conference room and waiting lobby, and ensure that bookings for meeting rooms are reserved as requested;<\/li>\n<li>Manage the reception and ensure lobby area is clean and presentable at all times through the office cleaner;<\/li>\n<li>Circulate all internal communication as assigned;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Objective 2 (Office Supplies Maintenance)<\/strong><br \/>\nTasks and Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage the stocking of stationery store in coordination with Logistics;<\/li>\n<li>Place appropriate order to re-stock supplies;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure sufficient supply of office cleaning supplies and materials and work with HR to replenish them on a monthly basis;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure sufficient supply of coffee, tea, sugar and milk and work with HR to replenish them on a monthly basis.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Objective 3 (Provide Support in Organizing Office Meetings and Staff Welfare Activities)<\/strong><br \/>\nTasks and Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain the birthday calendar of all Abuja staff and facilitate monthly birthday celebrations;<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with HR and other departments to organize staff send-forth, meetings and workshops;<\/li>\n<li>Support HR Officer and Administration Assistant in the organization various staff welfare activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Internal Relationship:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>HR department: Direct supervision and exchange of information and collaboration with HR Assistant and Line Manager;<\/li>\n<li>Logistics, Finance and Programs department: Exchange of information and collaboration;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>External Relationship:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Suppliers: Exchange of information, collaboration and coordination.<\/li>\n<li>Visitors: Reception, exchange of information.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Reporting Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Travel Information Tracker<\/li>\n<li>Staff Contact List<\/li>\n<li>Stock Tracker.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent computer literacy including all Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);<\/li>\n<li>Excellent attention to detail, highly organized, rigorous, self-motivated, strong sense of responsibility, ability to work independently;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to maintain confidentiality.<\/li>\n<li>Must be a resident of Abuja and within the ages of 20 to 30 years of age.<\/li>\n<li>Degree in Business Administration, Management, Social Sciences or related field of study from a recognized institution;<\/li>\n<li>Any related prior internship experience is preferred;<\/li>\n<li>Exceptional organization, time management, and attention to detail;<\/li>\n<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills;<\/li>\n<li>Approachable, diplomatic, able to work effectively in diverse, cross-cultural teams in a complex, multi-site work
