{"id":66674,"date":"2018-11-05T15:21:59","date_gmt":"2018-11-05T14:21:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/?p=66674"},"modified":"2018-11-05T15:21:59","modified_gmt":"2018-11-05T14:21:59","slug":"u-s-mission-ongoing-recruitment-share-apply","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/u-s-mission-ongoing-recruitment-share-apply.html","title":{"rendered":"The U.S. Mission Ongoing Recruitment &#8211; Share &#038; Apply"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The U.S. Mission in Abuja, Nigeria, is seeking to employ eligible and qualified candidates for the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Supervisory Voucher Examiner<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Announcement Number:<\/strong> Lagos-2018-070<br \/>\n<strong>Location<\/strong>: Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Series\/Grade:<\/strong> LE \u2013 0410 8<br \/>\n<strong>Security Clearance Required:<\/strong> Public Trust \u2013 Background Investigation<br \/>\n<strong>Duration Appointment:<\/strong> Indefinite subject to successful completion of probationary period.<br \/>\n<strong>Job Type:<\/strong> Full Time (40 hours per week)<br \/>\n<strong>Start date:<\/strong> Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (6 weeks) of receipt of agency authorization and\/or clearances\/certifications or their candidacy may end.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This position is a part of the Financial Management Center (FMC) team headquartered at the Embassy in Abuja, but reports directly to the Financial Specialist in U.S. Consulate General in Lagos.<\/li>\n<li>The Supervisory Voucher Examiner (SVE) in addition to processing vouchers, supervises two other Voucher Examiners.<\/li>\n<li>One of those Voucher Examiners is also performing duties as the Lagos Payroll Liaison \u2013 processing the payroll for all Consulate employees paid via Charleston\u2019s Financial Center.<\/li>\n<li>The vouchering unit examines and processes all payment requests presented by vendors, employees, agency representatives\u2019 utility companies, other U.S. Government Departments\/agencies.<\/li>\n<li>The payroll unit coordinates the payroll activities for all Mission employees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications and Evaluations<br \/>\n<\/strong>Requirements:<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience: Three (3) years experience in finance and accounting work is required. At least one (1) year out of the three (3) years must be supervisory experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Job Knowledge:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to quickly attain expert knowledge of U.S. Government regulations governing voucher examination and payroll.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to make pre-certification determination that payment is authorized, required approvals have been obtained and that the payment is in accordance with the terms and conditions of the supporting agreements\/documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of guidelines and legal issues surrounding obligating documents and budget review process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Education Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Financing, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Evaluations<\/strong><br \/>\nThese may be tested:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Language: Level IV (Fluent) Speaking, Reading\/Writing in English is required.<\/li>\n<li>Skills and Abilities:\u00a0 Good interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate and resolve complex issues.
