We offer business support and integrated solutions in different areas that ensure business objectives are achieved.<\/p>\n<p>Critically, we evaluate issues as they impact your business, and consequently deploy the appropriate skills and competencies to proffer the needed solutions.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Quantity Surveyor<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-Time<br \/>\n<strong>Job Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Co-ordinate with Project Manager, Engineers, Financial \/ Cost Accountant, Procurement and Commercial Team to ensure compliance in contracting, negotiating and effective costing of a project from start to end date.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Review architectural plans and prepare quantity needs.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare cost analysis based on engineering estimates, architectural drawings, materials required and labour involved.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare cost plans to enable project team produce practical designs for all projects by liaising with engineers, architect and subcontractors.<\/li>\n<li>Commercial vetting of subcontractor tenders and contracts.<\/li>\n<li>Provide advice to project staff on commercial and contractual matters including reviewing and drafting of correspondence.<\/li>\n<li>Advise on property taxes, regulations, and local laws.<\/li>\n<li>Source maintenance costs and facilities management for clients.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain working relationships with contractors and subcontractors.<\/li>\n<li>Utilize software to calculate, record, and track inventory and estimates.<\/li>\n<li>Analyze completed projects to determine ROI and compare.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate and assist in negotiating tenders from contractors and subcontractors.<\/li>\n<li>Communicate regularly with project team and subcontractors to ensure commercial controls are in place, understood and followed at all times.<\/li>\n<li>Control all stages of projects within predetermined budget and expenditure.<\/li>\n<li>Carry out monthly valuations of work in progress, including forecasting of final costs and sales.<\/li>\n<li>Certification of subcontractor monthly valuations and final accounts.<\/li>\n<li>Supply all relevant information to the Head of Department and the Managing Director for review at the specified interval set.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualification\/Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>B.Sc \/ B.Tech Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Engineering, Management, or any other relevant field.<\/li>\n<li>Candidate must be a certified member of NIQS, QSRBN and other Professional bodies.<\/li>\n<li>In-depth understanding of construction, materials, pricing, and industry.<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of 5 \u2013 10 years experience inquantity surveying, general construction, FMCG or any other related field.<\/li>\n<li>Candidate must have required Professional Certificates.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Competence Requirements<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Multi-tasking, self-motivated, energetic team player with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).<\/li>\n<li>Ability to lead and motivate working teams.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to use Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and Construction Costing Software (CANDY).<\/li>\n<li>Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solution.<\/li>\n<li>Strong aptitude for numbers, spreadsheets, and financial reports.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent reasoning, problem-solving and decision making ability.<\/li>\n<li>Analysis and interpretation of result.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent organizational, prioritization and follow up skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Salary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Attractive<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should forward their Applications to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:mgtpositions@stresert.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>mgtpositions@stresert.com<\/strong><\/a>using \u2018QS-21\u2019 as the subject of the mail.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:\u00a0<\/strong>Only suitable applicants will be shortlisted and contacted for interviews.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>21st November, 2018.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>StreSERT is a professional services organisation that offers quality stress-free solutions to corporate organisations.
