At BASF, careers develop from opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Laboratory Technologist<br \/>\nLocation<\/strong>: Ikoyi, Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Job Field:<\/strong> Research &amp; Development<br \/>\n<strong>Job Type:<\/strong> Permanent<strong><br \/>\nWhat You Can Expect<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Developing frame formulations with BASF raw materials for the Sub-Sahara Africa market for hair and skin care applications.<\/li>\n<li>Enable the Application Technology Manager to present developed formulations to customers to generate business, especially the specialty products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Core responsibilities will include the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Managing the formulations development part of new product development projects, margin enhancement projects and customer support projects, against the agreed objectives and timings<\/li>\n<li>Identifying potential project risks and building contingencies into the plan<\/li>\n<li>Conducting literature searches and benchmark studies<\/li>\n<li>Proposing, preparing and testing new\/improved formulations against project objectives<\/li>\n<li>Evaluating the new\/improved formulations against the product brief and write technical reports on the findings<\/li>\n<li>Supporting the lab manager in the implementation of GLP and ESH in the laboratory<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for storing in managed and shared folders and to provide the necessary documentation of the new\/reformulated products to Sales and customers as is necessary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What We Expect<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Sciences or Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 3 years\u2019 experience with Research &amp; Development (R&amp;D) &amp; related functions on product development in personal care or otherwise have developed knowledge and skills about personal care products<\/li>\n<li>Strong MS Office proficiency<\/li>\n<li>Good communication &amp; organizational skills, team player and self-starter with good sense of aesthetics and creativity<\/li>\n<li>Good analytical thinking skills<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to travel to Customer Sites.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><\/div>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/basf.jobs\/job\/Ikoyi-Laboaratory-Technologist-null\/502566301\/?feedId=111101&amp;src=LinkedIn_Slots\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Click here to apply<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BASF \u2013 We are the world\u2019s leading chemical company because we offer intelligent solutions for our customers and for a sustainable future.
