The Edict charged the Polytechnic to among other things provide for training and development of techniques in Applied Science, Engineering and Commerce as well as in other spheres of learning.<\/p>\n<p>Applications are invited from qualified candidates to fill the positions below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Director, Physical Planning<br \/>\nLocation:\u00a0<\/strong>Kaduna<strong><br \/>\nResponsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nDirector, Physical Planning shall be responsible for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Overall control of Works and Services Department.<\/li>\n<li>Formulating divisional strategies to achieve institutional goals.<\/li>\n<li>Planning and controlling the technical activities of the Works and Services Department.<\/li>\n<li>Advising the Rector on the acquisition, operation and maintenance of all Polytechnic assets.<\/li>\n<li>Preparing the Division\u2019s budget and exercising budgetary controls.<\/li>\n<li>Keeping an inventory of all vehicles, maintenance, security and upkeep.<\/li>\n<li>Desk officer on TETfund intervention on infrastructural development and maintenance.<\/li>\n<li>Performing other duties as may be assigned by the Rector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications\/Experience<\/strong><br \/>\nThe candidate for the post is expected to be;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A holder of a good degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Building, Town Planning, Estate Surveying and Valuers etc; with at least twenty (20) years relevant experience or a holder of a good masters degree in the relevant field plus at least eighteen (18) years or a holder of PhD with fifteen (15) years relevant experience.<\/li>\n<li>Must be registered with appropriate professional body.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Terms of Appointment<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The salary of the Director of Physical Planning is CONTISS 15.<\/li>\n<li>An official car.<\/li>\n<li>Sabbatical within Nigeria on completion of tenure provided the officer is not retiring.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Medical Officer II<br \/>\nLocation<\/strong>: Zaria, Kaduna<br \/>\n<strong>Responsibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Attends to medical care in the medical centre.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The applicant must be a holder of M.B.B.S. or equivalent qualification and registered with the Nigeria Medical and Dental Council.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Term of Appointment<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The salary of Medical Officer II is CONMESS 8.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Director, Medical Services<br \/>\nLocation:\u00a0<\/strong>Kaduna<br \/>\n<strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Taking over the charge of the Polytechnic\u2019s Medical Centre.<\/li>\n<li>Co-ordinating the work and activities of subordinates staff of the centre.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible to the Rector for the smooth running of the medical centre.<\/li>\n<li>Any other duties as may be assigned by the Rector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications\/Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The applicant must be a holder of MBBS or equivalent qualification with eighteen (18) years cognate experience or holder of Postgraduate qualification in Medicine with at least fifteen (15) years cognate experience.<\/li>\n<li>Must provide evidence of membership with the Nigeria Medical and Dental Council.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Terms of Appointment<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The salary of the Director of Medical Services is CONMESS 15.<\/li>\n<li>He\/She shall be entitled to an official car.<\/li>\n<li>He shall be entitled to accommodation, if he\/she desires and where a vacant house exists.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Polytechnic Librarian<br \/>\nLocation:<\/strong>\u00a0Kaduna<br \/>\n<strong>Details<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Polytechnic Librarian shall be responsible to the Rector for the provision of library services in the Polytechnic.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for Library Services of the Polytechnic.<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of Library Budget.<\/li>\n<li>In attendance at Governing Council meeting.<\/li>\n<li>Member, Academic Board.<\/li>\n<li>Member, Management Committee.<\/li>\n<li>Member Junior Staff Appointments, Promotions and Disciplinary Committee.<\/li>\n<li>Desk Officer on TET fund Library intervention.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications\/Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The applicant must be a holder of MLS in Library Science with eighteen (18) years cognate experience or PhD with fifteen (15) years cognate experience.<\/li>\n<li>Must provide evidence of membership with the Library Registration Council.<\/li>\n<li>Must provide evidence of journal publications, conference\/seminar papers and book of proceedings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Terms of Appointment<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The appointment is for an initial period of four (4) years renewable for a second and final term of four (4) years.<\/li>\n<li>The salary of the Polytechnic Librarian is CONTISS 15.<\/li>\n<li>An official
