We focus on quality, cost-effective, innovative and cutting-edge solutions designed to meet the present day challenges of the oil and gas industry and other industrial markets in Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p>We are currently recruiting suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below:<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Rope Access Supervisor<br \/>\nLocation:<\/strong>\u00a0Nigeria<\/p>\n<p><strong>Position Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The primary function of an Rope Access Supervisor is to supervise the Rope Access portion of the workscope and perform NDT where necessary.<\/li>\n<li>The job location will include onshore\/offshore Nigeria.<\/li>\n<li>This is a position for Expatriates<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist the rest of the team in successful completion of the Work scope as per client requirements<\/li>\n<li>Must be prepared to work up to 28 day hitches offshore<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that other rope access technicians perform their rope access duties in a safe manner.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for coordinating any rescues if required<\/li>\n<li>Complete reports in line with K2 requirements Comply to K2 HSE requirements<\/li>\n<li>Play an active role in developing the skills of other team members<\/li>\n<li>Supervise Rope Access Technicians (IRATA Level 1 and 2) at all times<\/li>\n<li>Inspect rope access equipment to ensure it is fit for purpose at all times as per IRATA and K2 requirements<\/li>\n<li>Prepare rescue plan, risk assessment, method statements for the rope access work on the project.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise Rope Access Application on fabric maintenance on the FPSO<\/li>\n<li>Supervise Rope Access Application on fabric maintenance in a GAS PLANT<\/li>\n<li>Training Local Personnel on Rope Access Application<\/li>\n<li>Prepare equipment and necessary materials for project in consultation with Operations\/Stores<\/li>\n<li>Supervise Rope Access utilization for coating\/blasting and painting works<\/li>\n<li>Sign IRATA log books for IRATA Level 1 and 2<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Supervisory Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supervise Rope Access portion of workscope.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Education and Work Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least five years of fabric maintenance works including but not limited to coating\/blasting, painting, and insulation works<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Knowledge and Skills:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Shows willingness and aptitude to use own discretion in taking appropriate steps in finding solutions to problems; presents options and ideas to enhance current processes or procedures. Takes on additional responsibility when both big and small tasks need to be completed.<\/li>\n<li>Firmly adheres to the values and ethics of Midis Energy. Exhibits honesty, discretion, and sound judgment.<\/li>\n<li>Possess excellent communication skills to convey information to customers and colleagues effectively, through verbal and written communication.<\/li>\n<li>Willing to work with others, collaborating and compromising where necessary; promptly share relevant information with others.<\/li>\n<li>Maintains a positive \u201ccan do\u201d outlook, rebounds quickly from frustrations and unpleasantness, and maintains composure and friendly demeanor while dealing with stressful situations.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to organize, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks with minimal supervision.<\/li>\n<li>Be reasonably fit and able to work at various heights.<\/li>\n<li>Detail oriented with a dedication to the quality control and quality assurance process; ability to understand and read complex design and fabrication plans and specifications.<\/li>\n<li>Must have analytical capabilities for customer needs assessment and solutions identification.<\/li>\n<li>A sense of urgency, good attention to detail, and follow-thru.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates a systematic approach in carrying out assignments. Is very orderly and excels at cutting through confusion and turning chaos into order.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Industry Codes.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates a strong ability to identify, analyze and solve problems. Unusually decisive in handling difficult problems. Translates problems into practical solutions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Certificates and Licenses Required:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Level 3 Certificate in IRATA or SPRAT<\/li>\n<li>BOSIET<\/li>\n<li>Basic First Aid, CPR and AED for Adults<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Activities and Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without \u2018giving out\u2019 or fatiguing.<\/li>\n<li>The ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down.
