With joining MainOne you\u2019ll be challenged, inspired and proud as you become a part of something big.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Solutions Architect<br \/>\nLocation:<\/strong>\u00a0Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Department:<\/strong> Technical<br \/>\n<strong>Job Type:<\/strong> Permanent<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Will be involved from pre-sales solution formulation through system deployment; including bid preparation and customer interface resulting in solutions architecture proposals.<\/li>\n<li>The Solutions Architect will develop and articulate solutions based on a customer\u2019s strategic business or technical requirements ascertained from working with multiple business units across the customer\u2019s organisation.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the translation of customer needs\/technical requirements to appropriate solutions by liaising with customers to understand, anticipate and meet their specific needs.<\/li>\n<li>Design service solutions for Managed Service customers in line with ITIL and\/or industry best practice<\/li>\n<li>Proven business development experience and familiarity with cloud services markets<\/li>\n<li>Manage multi-faceted projects with diverse stakeholders across different continents. A track record of successful project management is important.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with international, regional and local provider markets.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute proactively to new service development.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure quality, up-to-date documentation exists for all service arrangements<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical and business consultative leadership throughout the technical life cycle of technical solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Manage and develop strategic partnerships with third party suppliers and other internal stakeholders for Cloud Aggregators or Managed Service Providers.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with the sales team in formulating and building up proposal knowledge, including making technical demos and presentations to Main One customers.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate ability, determination and tenacity to move major initiatives forward and drive focus while consistently thinking of the bottom-line impact of the efforts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications, Skills &amp; Competencies<\/strong><br \/>\nSkills &amp; Qualification Required:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree or equivalent in Information Communication Technology, Engineering or Computer Science Cisco CCNA\/CCDA\/CCIP\/CCNP\/CCDP\/CWNA<\/li>\n<li>PMI, Prince 2 or other industry equivalent<\/li>\n<li>Certifications in Cloud Technologies, SDN is considered a plus for this<\/li>\n<li>At least three (3) years of experience in proposal development, designing architecture, and implementing provider solutions.<\/li>\n<li>At least Seven (7) years industry experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Competencies:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Team player \/ Ability to work independently \/ Ability to work with little supervision<\/li>\n<li>Sound commercial business understanding and risk aware<\/li>\n<li>In-depth Knowledge of Radio\/Microwave and terrestrial transmission systems.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in designing and deploying standardized VOIP technologies; SIP and H.323.<\/li>\n<li>Experience relating business requirements to system and infrastructure components and designing the bill of materials for a project.<\/li>\n<li>Set up and maintain a best practice library of company proposals and architectural designs proposed to customers with success and conversion rate indicators.<\/li>\n<li>In-depth level knowledge of networking technologies including but not limited to: TCP\/IP (e.g. interpreting a packet trace file), WAN technologies, VPN(Layer 2 &amp; 3), QoS, firewalls, routers, switches, DNS, Metro Ethernet, SDH, EoSDH, DWDM, VOIP and Data Centre Designs.<\/li>\n<li>Creative and innovative approach.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in telecom architecture.<\/li>\n<li>Proactive with a positive \u2018can do\u2019 approach.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with Cisco equipment essential.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in WLAN technologies (Controllers, WAPs, and 802.11 fundamentals)<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with 802.11g\/n\/ac\/ax standards.<\/li>\n<li>Sound commercial business understanding and risk aware.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication, presentation and leadership skills.<\/li>\n<li>Experience\u00a0 relating\u00a0\u00a0 business\u00a0\u00a0 requirements\u00a0\u00a0 to\u00a0\u00a0 system\u00a0\u00a0 and\u00a0\u00a0 infrastructure components and designing the bill of materials for a project.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Demand on the Job<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contract negotiation and influencing skills.<\/li>\n<li>Relationship Management and Analytical Skills.<\/li>\n<li>Background in Telecom and Managed Services Environment.<\/li>\n<li>Strong background in solution design with focus on IP\/MPLS\/IPLC\/VOIP\/Metro Ethernet\/Data Centre Collocation\/Cloud technologies\/Managed Services.<\/li>\n<li>Problem
