YAF is working to redefine the role and contribution of the Nigerian youth in the governance and development processes in the country.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting qualified personnel to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Director of Programs<br \/>\nLocation<\/strong>: Abuja<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, coordinating, evaluating and reporting on projects carried out by project officers, consultants and partners.<\/li>\n<li>The Program Director reports to the Executive Director and supervises several program staff.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Primary Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Program Director will provide overall technical and administrative leadership and expertise for the organization\u2019s programs.<\/li>\n<li>S\/he operationalizes the organization\u2019s programs and projects strategy and contributes to defining the annual and multi-annual programmatic strategy of the organization<\/li>\n<li>S\/he contributes to the institutional development of the organization: strengthening human and financial resources, the visibility and recognition of the institution.<\/li>\n<li>S\/he will ensure that monitoring tools are in place and well used; that the schedule is respected; makes sure corrective measures are identified and implemented; verifies and evaluates their execution.<\/li>\n<li>S\/he serves as the primary liaison with government counterparts, local authorities, and\/or civil society and other sector partners on management and technical matters.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures that program components are results-oriented, ensures high-quality deliverables and relevant and timely reporting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills &amp; Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master\u2019s degree in Development related subjects or another relevant field.<\/li>\n<li>At least 10 years\u2019 experience in the development sector<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of 5 years\u2019 experience in top management positions and supervision of complex development projects<\/li>\n<li>Experience working on youth development programs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Monitoring &amp; Evaluation Adviser<br \/>\nLocation<\/strong>: Abuja<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nJob Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The M&amp;E Adviser will lead the delivery of top quality M&amp;E processes and provide expert, practical advice to teams, as well provide technical leadership in the roll-out of YAP M&amp;E plan and generating strategic data for program management, reporting and documentation of best practices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Primary Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure that the quality of program\/project Monitoring and Evaluation is of international standard and quality by supporting the development and implementation of appropriate mechanisms to ensure quality.<\/li>\n<li>Provide direct technical assistance and capacity building in the design and implementation of the program\/project Monitoring and Evaluation components of the activities of the organization<\/li>\n<li>Build capacity of local partners in project monitoring and with program staff and local partners, used program\/project monitoring data to modify existing programs and design new programs.<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical support in evaluation research (including sampling strategies, analysis and presentation of data) to research consultants.<\/li>\n<li>Analyze M&amp;E data on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis and flag action areas to the project management<\/li>\n<li>With the support of program staff, plan for and execute M&amp;E, including data collection, developing M&amp;E tools, data management and analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Support and contribute to the development and implementation of M&amp;E systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills &amp; Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master\u2019s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Social Sciences, Business Administration or International relations and\/or development related fields<\/li>\n<li>At least five (5) years relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation.<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience of and expertise in designing, commissioning and leading M&amp;E projects and programmes.<\/li>\n<li>Strong quantitative and analytical skills, and ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical persons<\/li>\n<li>Advanced knowledge and experience of standard Monitoring and Evaluation procedures an tools<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of donor requirements, with previous experience on either EU, USAID or DFID funded projects being a strong advantage<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with statistical computer software packages.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Finance &amp; Grant Manager<br \/>\nLocation<\/strong>: Abuja<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Finance &amp; Grants Manager work closely with the Executive Director and the management team to protect the financial health and integrity of the organization with enforcing appropriate accounting and financial procedures and policies;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Primary Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manages the finance department, partakes in recruitment, orientation and training of staff with financial functions.<\/li>\n<li>Gives a clear picture of the financial position of projects with reports on donors\u2019 budget adherence or budget variances.<\/li>\n<li>Meets external reporting deadlines; prepares budgets and reports with exactness and compliance; liaises with donors when necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Acts as a focal point during audits, enforces internal and external audit recommendations in a timely fashion.<\/li>\n<li>Manages finance related risks<\/li>\n<li>Ensure finance related audit actions are implemented and alternative actions taken as required to address weaknesses in financial controls and procedures identified in finance and other forms of audit reports.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills &amp; Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least 7 years of experience in similar position within the NGO sector.<\/li>\n<li>Professional accountancy qualification or Master\u2019s Degree in Finance, Accounting or similar qualification<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in the use of accounting software systems (preferably Peachtree), Q&amp;A reporting tool and excel.<\/li>\n<li>Donor\/contract management
