below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Container Reach Engineer<br \/>\nLocation:<\/strong>\u00a0Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Container Reach Engineer has the following specific responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure the safe and correct running of the main engine, auxiliary engines, and all such primary\/secondary equipment and systems, in accordance with manufacturers\u2019 instructions and in keeping with Company procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Understand the parameters to ensure efficient maintenance and operation of engine plants, i.e. fuel efficiency, power analysis, and systems heat balance.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that engineering personnel conduct all work in accordance with site and company safety procedures and regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all container-handling equipment is maintained to the highest possible standards in accordance with manufacturer\u2019s recommendations and that equipment availability is maintained at an optimum level.<\/li>\n<li>Implement and continually develop all necessary maintenance programmers, systems and procedures to enable the department to function effectively.<\/li>\n<li>Attend daily meetings with Engineering Superintendents \/Terminal Manager to review all relevant issues.<\/li>\n<li>Produce appropriate statistical and financial reporting for terminal manager and senior management.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the engines are correctly tuned to achieve maximum fuel efficiency<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and optimize fuel consumption<\/li>\n<li>Control and coordinate all engineering activities within the container terminal and provide technical support to all engineering personnel.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the engineering department provides a fully functional, effective and flexible workforce, maintaining high standards of workmanship.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of 3 years\u2019 experience in a similar position<\/li>\n<li>Excellent man management, organizational and supervisory skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to function effectively under pressure and use initiative in problem solving.<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate and familiar with typical office applications including database applications.<\/li>\n<li>Must have extensive experience in a heavy industrial engineering environment incorporating large capacity cranes and drives, several years of which should be at managerial level.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills both written and oral.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Container Reach Stacker<br \/>\nLocation:\u00a0<\/strong>Lagos<strong><br \/>\nKey Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Operate the Reach stacker \/ Empty Handler for receiving \/ loading \/ Shifting in the stack.<\/li>\n<li>Inspects equipment at beginning of work to ensure that all the parts are operating properly.<\/li>\n<li>Identifies and reports any safety problems, malfunctions, or damage to yard handling equipment, before work hours.<\/li>\n<li>Follows safe operating procedures and instructions, preventing any injury to persons, or damage to containers and other equipment and property.<\/li>\n<li>Carries out duties and tasks in an efficient, productive manner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\nWho we are looking for?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Two or more years of heavy vehicle driving like cranes etc. or similar work experience<\/li>\n<li>Must understand operating heavy vehicles<\/li>\n<li>Understands and observes safety requirements for driving heavy vehicles within a disciplined environment<\/li>\n<li>Requires Basic English language skills<\/li>\n<li>Good eyesight and hand-eye coordination<\/li>\n<li>Must have a valid driver\u2019s license.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to stack containers 4+ high in the yard<\/li>\n<li>Efficient at digging out boxes<\/li>\n<li>Additional experience on counterbalance forklifts
