This makes us fast, agile, entrepreneurial, cost conscious and accountable for our products \u2013 from seed to serving at the breakfast, lunch or dinner table.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Regional Financial Controller \u2013 West Africa<br \/>\nLocation:<\/strong>\u00a0Lagos, Nigeria<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nBusiness Delivery &amp; Performance Management:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Interface with local Sourcing Unit Controller to understand cost trends and Capital investment requirements<\/li>\n<li>Active cash management to manage business Working Capital and Free Cash Flow delivery<\/li>\n<li>Lead financial forecasting\/budgeting and longer-term strategic planning processes<\/li>\n<li>In-year holistic business delivery across all KPIs (Market Share, Turnover &amp; Operating Profit, Cash &amp; Working Capital)<\/li>\n<li>Provide analytics and insights to drive business performance and inform pricing, investment and innovation decisions<\/li>\n<li>Drive robust cost control and embed Return of Investment approach<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Business Controls &amp; Risk Management:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop, implement and monitor strong internal control environment across all business processes.<\/li>\n<li>Safeguard adherence to all company policies and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Active risk management with a focus on driving key actions in partnership with country leadership team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Core Business Processes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage Purchase to Pay and Order to Cash processes, including Credit management, pricing and claims management working closely with Finance Operating Centers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Tax, Audit &amp; Legal:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Local Tax compliance and reporting, in conjunction with any local advisers<\/li>\n<li>Lead Statutory audit process and reporting, managing relationship with external auditors<\/li>\n<li>Support Internal Audit team and drive full implementation of any recommendations<\/li>\n<li>Local commercial contract set-up and management, in conjunction with any local legal advisers. Drive adherence to contracts to realise business value<\/li>\n<li>Manage local statutory insurance programs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Change Management:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support transition away from current service provider and set-up of distinct Spreads organization<\/li>\n<li>Ensure effective local implementation of Transition Services Agreements (TSAs)<\/li>\n<li>Provide support to other countries within the BU during the transition<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Talent Management &amp; Development:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Recruit, retain and develop talent<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to global Spreads Finance function agenda, with a focus on improving capabilities that can be leveraged locally<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills, Experience and Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong people management skills and ability to motivate remote teams.<\/li>\n<li>Effective Business Partnering.<\/li>\n<li>Performance Management and business planning.<\/li>\n<li>Decision Support and Ad Hoc evaluation.<\/li>\n<li>Professional qualification in Finance or Accountancy<\/li>\n<li>9+ years of experience, with at least 5 years in a senior role in finance<\/li>\n<li>Strong control and analytical mindset.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Your Personal Power!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At Upfield we want you to bring your ideas, your motivation and desire to succeed!
