We provide humanitarian assistance in disasters and work for long-term development in local communities and societies. In order to address the root causes of poverty, we advocate for just decisions by public authorities, businesses and religious leaders.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the positions below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Gender-Based Violence Officer<br \/>\nLocations:<\/strong>\u00a0Dikwa, Monguno, Pulka, Ngala, Kukawa, Damboa, Damasak \u2013 Borno and any other project locations.<br \/>\n<strong>Reporting to:<\/strong> GBV Advisor<br \/>\n<strong>Job Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The GBV Officer will be responsible for the timely and quality delivery of field level activities with technical support from the GBV Advisor.<\/li>\n<li>She\/he will manage the team there and ensure the smooth running of program in close coordination with other GBV\/Protection actors.<\/li>\n<li>She\/he will ensure that survivor centred approach is adhered to and GBV survivors and other vulnerable women and girls receive prompt and comprehensive services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Main Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee case management including follow up on referrals and action plans, and support services provided to GBV survivors, ensuring that the survivors receive the minimum package<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with the GBV Advisor, senior GBV officer and other officers to Initiate planning for longer-term GBV prevention and response activities, including referral pathway and standard operating procedures<\/li>\n<li>Maintain, monitor and measure GBV project implementation and contribute to effective information management on GBV survivors, adhering to the national guidance on case management of survivors and the SOPs<\/li>\n<li>Closely work with case workers, outreach workers etc to ensure that best practices are respected and international standards are met in responding and preventing GBV<\/li>\n<li>Participate in capacity building initiatives for staff, partners and other stakeholders to ensure quality and comprehensive delivery of project activities<\/li>\n<li>Develop plans and activities in line with project.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate the setting up and functional safe spaces for women and girls and supervise all safe space activities and community outreaches.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct monitoring of program activities and ensure standards are followed.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate the formation of Adolescent girls groups through the engagement of care givers\/parents and ensuring their inputs into the design of the AG is ensured.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the case management of the program and supervise case workers to implement effectively<\/li>\n<li>Support staff to identify and link vulnerable girls to child protection actors and other service providers based on need to access support and care<\/li>\n<li>Overall management of field based activities.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct monitoring to partner activities in their various locations in close coordination with the M&amp;E officer as may requested by supervisor.<\/li>\n<li>Submit quality reports as scheduled including but not limited to weekly, monthly etc.<\/li>\n<li>Carryout any other duties as outlined by the supervisor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Qualification<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven experience in similar function desirable.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in GBVIMS and case management<\/li>\n<li>At least Degree in Psychology, Social Sciences, Public Health, Humanitarian Work, Nursing required.<\/li>\n<li>At least Two years and above experience in similar position or related<\/li>\n<li>Flexible and willing to work and stay in rural communities especially field based<\/li>\n<li>Attended trainings on GBV and is aware of protection issues.<\/li>\n<li>Supervisory experience.<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in English, Hausa and Kanuri plus any other local languages in northeast Nigeria an advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Good interpersonal skills to establish effective working relationships with all staff and key stakeholders externally.<\/li>\n<li>Able to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation, including relevant staff working for the NCA.<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate especially micro soft work, excel database and power point. Knowledge of other software an advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Willingness and ability to take initiative not only in identifying problems but also in suggesting and implementing solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Self-starter<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to stay and work in remote areas as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0GBV Outreach Worker<br \/>\nLocations:<\/strong>\u00a0Dikwa, Pulka, Monguno, Ngala, Damboa, Damasak, Kukawa<br \/>\n<strong>Department \/ Sector:<\/strong> GBV and Protection<br \/>\n<strong>Reporting to:<\/strong> Gender-Based Violence Officer<br \/>\n<strong>Slot:<\/strong> 13<br \/>\n<strong>Job Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The purpose of the job is to mainly to carryout community outreach, sensitization and awareness raising interventions to reach a wider coverage of the beneficiaries and communities on GBV related issues and engage in prevention related activities including economic empowerment activities through the Village Savings and Loan association.<\/li>\n<li>The position holder will also be actively engaged in providing information to women and girls on available services and referrals and supports to women and girls.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Main Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in the establishment of the women and girls safe spaces in the identified camp\/location.<\/li>\n<li>Create and maintain a positive and fruitful relationship with women, girls and the general community.<\/li>\n<li>Carry out community sensitisation, awareness raising and education activities in the camps, and other locations in the communities based<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate supports to women and girls who visit and may want to visit the safe spaces to access services and other supports.<\/li>\n<li>Engage men and boys on GBV prevention related activities<\/li>\n<li>Provide referrals to vulnerable women, girls, and especially GBV survivors to access services available in the community and at the safe spaces.<\/li>\n<li>Closely work with the caseworkers, GBV officer in the formation of the Adolescent girls group with consultation and engagement with their parents.<\/li>\n<li>Carry out weekly adolescent girls sessions as agreed<\/li>\n<li>Carryout the economic empowerment activities as agreed and especially the VSLA for women and girls.<\/li>\n<li>Plan and implement agreed project activities with support from supervisor<\/li>\n<li>Conduct outreach activities to encourage women and girls to seek health care and other services.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that a psychosocial approach\/perspective is employed in all work activities and decisions and that these reflect the priorities and best interests of women and girls been assisted.<\/li>\n<li>Establish regular coordination and liaison with community leaders, NGOs, service providers and local organizations especially at the reception centers\/transit centers etc.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all program activities create a neutral and supportive environment for women and girls<\/li>\n<li>Ensure strict adherence to NCA\/ACT code of conduct<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the formation and facilitation of women only VSLA groups in based location.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be able to maintain confidentiality<\/li>\n<li>University Degree in Community\/Rural Development\/Education, Social Sciences, or equivalent is a requirement.<\/li>\n<li>Previous social work and or community engagement work experience or experience working with women and girls and communities affected by conflict required.<\/li>\n<li>Good training, communication and facilitation skills necessary<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in English, Hausa, Kanuri plus other Languages in NE Nigeria an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Word and Excel programs preferred<\/li>\n<li>Willing to stay and work remote locations, field.<\/li>\n<li>Flexible and can adapt to prevailing environment.<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate especially micro soft work, excel database and power point. Ensure quality programming and in line with overall program goal and objectives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Main Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop standardized monitoring and evaluation tools and ensure their mainstreaming within projects (GBV,WASH and other possible project).<\/li>\n<li>Always work with project team and partners for accurate and reliable data collection including its storage, validation, analysis and timely reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor partner activities in various project locations as required and ensure working closely with partner M&amp;E staff for effectiveness<\/li>\n<li>Support the caseworkers and GBV staff in the GBVIMS data management processes.<\/li>\n<li>Support in the analysis of data process for assessments conducted.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and collate regular updates, reports.<\/li>\n<li>Lead in the overall documentation and improved learning process for the organisation<\/li>\n<li>Develop and regularly review M&amp;E plans as necessary to ensure consistency and standard data collection and in accordance with project goals and objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Review partner monitoring reports and indicator tracking tableActors (NSA) Fund, and identify the causes of problems in projects implementation and necessary corrective actions. As needed<\/li>\n<li>Always provide updated information to program Advisors and country Director on progress, challenges on programmatic issues.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in program assessment.<\/li>\n<li>Design M&amp;E matrices and logical frameworks.<\/li>\n<li>Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements, Skills and Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>University Degree, Statistics, in Measurement and Evaluation an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Project management experience in similar position<\/li>\n<li>Have a strong sense of analysis, well organized and probing.<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience in the development of logical frames and planning<\/li>\n<li>Has both qualitative and quantitative analysis approach in programming<\/li>\n<li>Uses M&amp;E plans as a guideline basis for result driven projects<\/li>\n<li>Strong skills in micro soft office packages<\/li>\n<li>Experience using strong data analysis software tools\/packages in M&amp;E<\/li>\n<li>Excellent English speaking and writing.
