{"id":70845,"date":"2019-02-01T14:35:50","date_gmt":"2019-02-01T13:35:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/?p=70845"},"modified":"2019-02-01T14:52:18","modified_gmt":"2019-02-01T13:52:18","slug":"agency-technical-cooperation-development-new-opportunity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/agency-technical-cooperation-development-new-opportunity.html","title":{"rendered":"The Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development New Opportunity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development (ACTED) \u2013\u00a0 Since 1993, as an international non-governmental organization, ACTED has been committed to immediate humanitarian relief to support those in urgent need and protect people\u2019s dignity, while co-creating longer term opportunities for sustainable growth and fulfilling people\u2019s potential.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Warehouse Officer<br \/>\nLocation:<\/strong>\u00a0Dikwa, Borno<br \/>\n<strong>Job Type:<\/strong> Full Time<br \/>\n<strong>Position to start:\u00a0<\/strong>1st quarter 2019<br \/>\n<strong>Contract Duration:<\/strong> 5 months<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In light of the displacement in the north eastern part of Nigeria, ACTED has set up an office in Maiduguri to respond to the humanitarian needs.<\/li>\n<li>ACTED is therefore looking for qualified staff to support our mission based in Dikwa.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Warehouse Officer is expected to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Inform the relevant Program staff\/managers upon the receipts and dispatches and coordinate with them, as it may be necessary. Allow requesters inspection of items upon delivery.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure stock movement documentations are updated and stock reports are produced on time.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure stocks Reports are circulated to all sector Managers biweekly or on monthly basis and per request.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all power generation equipment, electric appliances and power systems are well maintained<\/li>\n<li>Ensure issues related to power systems are timely reported and solutions are sought under the guidance of the Logistics Manager.<\/li>\n<li>Monthly reports of use and maintenance are produced and submitted to the Supply Chain Officer<\/li>\n<li>Arrange for transportation of goods as required and ensure accurate documentation maintained.<\/li>\n<li>Arrange for the distribution of program supplies as per plan and coordinate with program teams.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure safe transportation of program mail pouches to the field offices and the relevant procedures are adhered to by the drivers and mail carriers.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain the records of Assets, Equipment for Warehouse in line with the Assets recording system for the country program<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the assets that are issued to staff are authorized; recorded and necessary paper work exists as per the ACTED guidelines and policies.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all assets are properly maintained and looked after. Any misuse and abuse is reported to the Supply Chain Officer.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all stock items are properly stored and correctly recorded as per the guidelines and the warehouse\/stores is well maintained.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the movement of warehouse &amp; stores inventories are correctly recorded and documented; authorized and paper work is done as per procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>General Work and Filing:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Implement standard ACTED Warehouse System and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Provide training and support to other logistics colleagues when requested.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure health and safety policy is implemented and matters related to are reported to the designated responsible manager.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all paper work is kept according to ACTED\u2019s policies and procedures of and filed neatly with supporting documents in respective files.<\/li>\n<li>Undertake any other reasonable duties requested by line manager, where they do not contradict the organization\u2019s policies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Qualification: BA\/B.Sc\/HND\/MBA\/M.Sc\/MA<\/li>\n<li>Experience: 2 years.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSdpki1ZtPIDmtxtcv5gFYFko_hqniYPVgZYis8xqdnWuyc3qA\/viewform?vc=0&amp;c=0&amp;w=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Click here to apply<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline\u00a0<\/strong>8th February, 2019.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Only motivated applications that address the stipulated duties and meet the required qualifications will be considered<\/li>\n<li>ACTED\/REACH considers all applicants on the basis of merit without regard to race, sex, colour, religion, sexual orientation, age, marital status, or disability.<\/li>\n<li>Due to the large numbers of expected applicants ACTED will only inform shortlisted candidates, we apologize for the inconvenience.
