{"id":70963,"date":"2019-02-05T11:20:44","date_gmt":"2019-02-05T10:20:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/?p=70963"},"modified":"2019-02-05T10:54:55","modified_gmt":"2019-02-05T09:54:55","slug":"olashore-international-school-recent-opening","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/olashore-international-school-recent-opening.html","title":{"rendered":"Olashore International School Recent Opening"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Olashore International School (OIS) is a private co-educational school for 600 students, which offers high calibre education in a wide range of subjects a junior secondary, senior secondary and a university foundation programme in partnership with Lancaster University, UK.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0School Librarian<br \/>\nLocation:<\/strong>\u00a0Osun<br \/>\n<strong>Job Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The promotion of reading, for both study and pleasure, and of research skills among staff and students.<\/li>\n<li>Support for all curriculum areas through the provision of resources, information and training<\/li>\n<li>responsive to the fast changing worlds of communications and information technology and<\/li>\n<li>meets the needs of young people in the 21st century.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To develop and implement a library policy which reflects the educational aims and objectives of the whole school.<\/li>\n<li>Plan and oversee a programme for monitoring and evaluating library services and performance, including user surveys and statistics on stock and usage.<\/li>\n<li>To promote the library and its resources both within the library and the whole school and externally, where relevant.<\/li>\n<li>To inspire a love of literacy.<\/li>\n<li>To complete an annual risk assessment and to highlight any health and safety issues for library users and visitors.<\/li>\n<li>To plan and teach regular lessons to pupils on reading and research, and other year groups as required.<\/li>\n<li>To arrange pupils\u2019 participation in children\u2019s literary events such as book club, book talks and author visits.<\/li>\n<li>To provide guidance and assistance to pupils and staff on information retrieval and reading materials.<\/li>\n<li>To liaise collaborate with Heads of Department\/teachers on curriculum delivery based on library stock.<\/li>\n<li>To develop networks with other library professionals.<\/li>\n<li>To be committed to ongoing professional development.<\/li>\n<li>To embody the Aims and Values of the school.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Prepare and manage the library budgets.<\/li>\n<li>To select, acquire, organise and maintain library resources to cover the full school community (including boarders and staff).<\/li>\n<li>To arrange the effective retrieval by systematic indexing, classification and cataloguing of all library resources and disseminating information on those resources to staff and pupils.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in Library\/Information Studies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Experience\/Personal Attributes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Confidence in working with young people from age 11 to 18<\/li>\n<li>Good organisational and time management skills<\/li>\n<li>Flexibility, able to take on new challenges<\/li>\n<li>Not less than 5 years experience in managing a busy library.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work with teaching colleagues<\/li>\n<li>Energy and enthusiasm<\/li>\n<li>Passion for promoting literacy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their CV to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:hr@olashoreschool.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>hr@olashoreschool.com<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>12th February, 2019.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Olashore International School (OIS) is a private co-educational school for 600 students, which offers high calibre education in a wide range of subjects a junior secondary, senior secondary and a&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":10164,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[4],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
