{"id":71137,"date":"2019-02-07T15:39:09","date_gmt":"2019-02-07T14:39:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/?p=71137"},"modified":"2019-02-07T15:39:09","modified_gmt":"2019-02-07T14:39:09","slug":"action-hunger-new-ongoing-recruitment-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/action-hunger-new-ongoing-recruitment-4.html","title":{"rendered":"Action Against Hunger New Ongoing Recruitment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Action Against Hunger works to save lives by combating hunger and diseases that threaten the lives of vulnerable communities, through nutrition, food security, water and sanitation, health and advocacy.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Logistics Officer<br \/>\nLocation:<\/strong>\u00a0Maiduguri, Borno<br \/>\n<strong>Job type:<\/strong> Full Time<br \/>\n<strong>Direct Line Manager:<\/strong> Logistics Manager<br \/>\n<strong>Starting date:<\/strong> As Soon As Possible<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tasks and Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nObjective 1 \u2013 Management of equipment, communication means and the vehicle fleet:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure with the support of the fleet assistant that all drivers follow AAH standard procedures for weekly checks and vehicle documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Report to Logistic Manager on vehicle, generator or equipment faults.<\/li>\n<li>In case of accident, incident, provide report to Logistic Manager.<\/li>\n<li>Compile and consolidate records for vehicles &amp; generators consumptions.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise allocation and use of equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Follow-up and monitor installation, maintenance and repair of equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure tracking of assets, update base equipment list of the facilities with new equipment on a monthly basis and conduct physical check of equipment list each month.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure with the support of the fleet assistant that standard vehicle and generator fueling, maintenance and repair processes are implemented and adhered with, logbooks are filled, consolidated and monitored on a regular basis and reported monthly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Objective 2 \u2013 Manage the base Logistics team and follow HR related issues:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide support in terms of training\/capacity building to team members.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in the recruitment of base logistics team as required.<\/li>\n<li>Carry out performance appraisals for staff in his\/her line management.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the preparation and execution of driver schedules.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise and manage the works of Radio Operator, Facility Assistant, and Fleet Assistant.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all drivers are aware of AAH operating procedures, safety and security rules for movements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Objective 3 \u2013 Support the logistics supply chain:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee the PL related to fleet request and follow up on consumption on monthly basis.<\/li>\n<li>Provide support to program teams in raising PRs for their fleet needs.<\/li>\n<li>Develop a monthly planning of purchase for the materials required for the facility management; Draft PRs; and ensure quality control of deliveries from suppliers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Objective 4 \u2013 Reporting:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collect and analyse monthly reports for inventory, running costs of vehicles and generators, the narrative report of activities, facility equipment list;<\/li>\n<li>Compile and submit bi-weekly sitrep of your work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Objective 5 \u2013 Manage all rehabilitation for Office, Guest House, and premises:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide useful improvement for construction, rehabilitation and maintenance of structures for the operation of the base.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Internal &amp; External Relationship<\/strong><br \/>\nInternal:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Directly reporting to Logistic Manager.<\/li>\n<li>Technically supported by Logistics Manager.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise the works of Fleet Assistant, Facility Assistant, and Radio Operator.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with Base Admin and HR Team.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with other Base for movement coordination\/others.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>External:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Local suppliers and vendors: exchange of information, coordination, influence on choice of technical options.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Information Technology, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 4 years work experience required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills &amp; Experience<\/strong><br \/>\nEssential:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Capacity for analysis, synthesis and reporting of large amounts of information.<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to travel to the field sites.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to think outside the box in problem management.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to follow and manage work plans.<\/li>\n<li>Strong verbal, written and communication skills;
