(NASDAQ: MDLZ) is a whole new company reimagined with a single focus in mind: create delicious moments of joy by sharing the world\u2019s favorite brands.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Senior Category Brand Manager \u2013 Gum &amp; Candy (West Africa)<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Req #:<\/strong> 1809461<br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Lagos,<br \/>\n<strong>Job Category:<\/strong> Marketing<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Leads the implementation of the cluster\/market category P&amp;L delivery as agreed in AC\/RFC\u2019s.<\/li>\n<li>The role also generates successful link between the cluster\/market and category.<\/li>\n<li>The role is the category representative\/point of contact with the Market Sales teams. Delivery of plan through superior consumer and customer activation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Accountabilities<\/strong><br \/>\nIn line with the job purpose, key accountabilities will entail the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manages marketing spend budgets &amp; improve profitability (ROI) across the cluster\/market<\/li>\n<li>Understands local Sales capacity execution capability and coordinate with Category Lead and market GM\u2019s on cross category priority alignments.<\/li>\n<li>Provides thought leadership to the cross-functional category team to enhance synergies across the cluster\/market and aligned execution of strategic and operational plans<\/li>\n<li>Builds differentiating capabilities to ensure superior execution at the point of buying.<\/li>\n<li>Typically works with a timeframe for less than 12 months<\/li>\n<li>Leads the execution and performance of annual category marketing plans in the country\/cluster aligned with the category strategy for P&amp;L delivery with a\u00a0monthly\/quarterly and annual horizon.<\/li>\n<li>Implements\u00a0 superior consumer and customer activation of agreed brand equity, renovation and innovation 4-2-1 \u2018s<\/li>\n<li>Leads the execution of the IMC programs, working with\u00a0 BU category activation, agencies, and drive local adaptation of brand\u00a0 communication<\/li>\n<li>Manages connection &amp; media planning and buying locally<\/li>\n<li>Ensures effective working relationships and cross functional alignment of the category marketing plans with RCT, Sales (Category Planning &amp; KAM) CI, CS&amp;L and Finance and agency leadership\u00a0 to ensure effective in market brand activation in accordance with brand plans, activation strategy, schedule and calendar<\/li>\n<li>Manages required investment, prioritization, resources and enablers in order to deliver category targets<\/li>\n<li>Collaborates with the Equity &amp;Innovation teams to develop\u00a0 insight led and\u00a0 strategically relevant communication that drive brand health and\u00a0 category growth within the cluster\/market<\/li>\n<li>Feedbacks into product development and service offers; collaborate to create, launch and track performance of product and service offerings in our markets<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Key Performance Indicators:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Brand \/ Category P&amp;L @ AC, Revised Forecasts \u2013 Volume, revenue, gross margins %, Net contribution % at Market level<\/li>\n<li>Cluster Category P&amp;L<\/li>\n<li>Market Share Markets<\/li>\n<li>GTN efficiency and ROI<\/li>\n<li>A&amp;C spend effectiveness and ROI\u2019s<\/li>\n<li>Brand penetration\/frequency in market<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Person Specification<\/strong><br \/>\nIn order to succeed in this role, it is expected that the ideal candidate will have the following:<\/p>\n<p>Education:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>University degree in Marketing or applicable working experience<\/li>\n<li>Excellent Knowledge of English language<\/li>\n<li>Strong PC literacy (Excel, PP)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Skills:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong people management skills, communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Idea Leadership and Drive for Results<\/li>\n<li>Handling Complexity, problem solving, analytical and conceptual skills<\/li>\n<li>Business Acumen, Organizational agility<\/li>\n<li>Project leadership skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong planning skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The incumbent should be role model in:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Target-Setting for Respective KPI and accountability for results<\/li>\n<li>Effective Use of Assets<\/li>\n<li>Determinate Facts &amp; Figures from the operations and Create a Section Budget<\/li>\n<li>Set-up of Corrective Actions in Case of Deviations and ensure execution<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Experience:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrable experience in the development and introduction of new products and marketing opportunities and brand repositioning.<\/li>\n<li>Influencing senior teams.<\/li>\n<li>Multi-cultural exposure.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 8 years\u2019 experience in blue chip multinational FMCGs in both marketing &amp; Sales roles with involvement in broad commercial issues.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrable experience in the development and execution of outstanding marketing programmes based on consumer insights.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Obligations<\/strong><br \/>\nIt is expected that you will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Carry out the role accountabilities within the operating and process frameworks that apply to the company<\/li>\n<li>Work together with all your peers and customers.
