It will produce; process and market efficiently and profitably agricultural produce for domestic and export markets.<\/p>\n<p>This farm has world class aspirations and will strive for operational excellence, cost leadership, high HSE standards, honesty and integrity.\u00a0To ensure that this mission is accomplished, only agro-business entrepreneurs desirous of improving the food value chain from farm to feast will be employed. We are seeking competent hands, only the best and the brightest, for immediate employment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1.) Farm Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Person<\/strong><br \/>\nYou will need to have strong proven management experience in the sector, proven knowledge of irrigation operations, basic mechanical skills, be physically fit and hands on, be able to manage and motivate a small team and have a thorough knowledge of markets, chemicals and agricultural machinery. This position requires the successful applicant to be available seven days per week and<br \/>\nBe happy to work a wide variety of hours<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nRequirments &amp; Experience<\/strong><br \/>\nBesides being an entrepreneur and a visionary, the right person for this job, must have<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum of 10 years combined experience working with livestock, crops, goat feedlot and agricultural marketing.<\/li>\n<li>Sound mechanical ability<\/li>\n<li>Experience managing staff<\/li>\n<li>Competence with computers<\/li>\n<li>Have management and leadership qualities and experience managing teams, with confidence, firmness and flair.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>2.) Marketing Supervisor<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We need marketers who understand market forces, emerging trends and issues. Marketers who are ready to serve both the Mile 12 undifferentiated mass market and the segregated supermarkets in Ikoyi, Lekki and Victoria Island.<\/p>\n<p>This is a first class opportunity for a candidate, ideally with a solid marketing background or demonstrable marketing skills and interests, who is seeking to develop a marketing career. Relevant experience in the agricultural industry and\/or an agricultural-related degree, Veterinary Medicine or HND would be beneficial.\u00a0<strong>Applications from recent Graduates\/HNDs are welcome<\/strong>, but the ideal candidate will demonstrate thorough understanding of the grains and livestock market. The ideal candidate will have good people skills and confidence, will be efficient, organised and IT proficient.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Determining and implementing the overall commodities\/livestock sales and procurement strategy.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to meet a.nd surpass team objectives<\/li>\n<li>Playing a key role in the overall strategic direction ofthe company alongside the other senior team members.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Person we are looking for:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Commercial, analyticalt detailed. (an gather information from multiple sources and quickly synthesise to determine the best way forward<\/li>\n<li>Strong negotiator &#8211; able to make quick, well-informed decisions in a fast paced environment<\/li>\n<li>Strategic\/Bigger Picture-focused, able to make daily decisions in.the context of a medium and longer term strategy<\/li>\n<li>Well organised.Ability to work under pressure,able to priortis<\/li>\n<li>Strong tearm player,able to lead with a vision, develop and motivate tearms<\/li>\n<li>Good communicator at all levels, able to influence, self -confident<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>3.) Livestock Farm Supervisor<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Potential candidates should possess the highest standards in bird, animal welfare and management, bio security and day to day organisational and leadership skills for the running of the farm.<br \/>\nA flexible working approach and self motivation, combined with a desire to exceed all standards and targets of a modem day piggery, goat feedlot, or layer\/broller site are must have attributes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversees animal care, maintenance, breeding, or packing and transfer activities to ensure work is done correctly, and to identify and solve problems.<\/li>\n<li>Assigns workers to tasks, such as feeding and treating animals, cleaning (quarters) pens, kennels, transferring animals, and maintaining facilities<\/li>\n<li>Notifies veterinarian of serious illnesses or injuries to animals<\/li>\n<li>Monitors eggs and adjusts incubator thermometer and gauges, to ascertain hatching progress and maintain specified conditions<\/li>\n<li>Treats animal illness or injury, following experience or instructions of veterinarian.<\/li>\n<li>Inseminates livestock artificially to produce desired offspring and to demonstrate techniques to farmers.<\/li>\n<li>Prepares animal condition, production, feed consumption, and worker attendance reports.<\/li>\n<li>Plans and prepares work schedules.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>4.) Fish Farm Supervisor<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Fish Farm Supervisor is responsible for the breeding and rearing of fish for the wholesale and retail trades and therefore managing fish habitats throughout the year, stock health and welfare issues, maintenance of equipment and cages and selling on to the public and trade customers. Fish farming is an intensive animal husbandry business and it is essential that applicants have an enthusiasm for fish and theirwelfare as well as experience in a similar position.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensuring the water supply is of a sufficient quality for the stock;<\/li>\n<li>Being adaptable to new technologies as they develop and learning practical skills;<\/li>\n<li>Paying close attention to detail to avoid expensive fish losses in what can be a high risk industry;<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining records of stocks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>BASIS and FACTS <\/strong><br \/>\nQualifications will be ideal but are not essential as training will be given to those with enthusiasm, self motivation and the determination to succeed in a technical but commercially competitive sector.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5.) Technical &amp; Quality Supervisor<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interesting and varied role within a busy production and processing environmentt working as part of the overall management team, you will assist with the implementation of robust procedures to ensure that all activities are executed at the highest standards and safety. You will maintain and update the quality management systems including policies, procedures and standards; and document all procedures relating to product safety and standards.<br \/>\nYou will have excellent communication skills and be able to build good business relationships with internal and external suppliers, and producers. You will be responsible for ensuring that all suppliers conform to specification.
