We are recruiting to fill the position below:<br \/>\n<strong>Job Title:\u00a0Database Analyst<br \/>\nLocation:<\/strong>\u00a0Abuja<br \/>\n<strong>NIL Reports to:<\/strong> Team Lead<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Function<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The main function of this job role is to analyse data, develop and maintain database by identifying and solving database requirements; supporting users, etc. for client organisations and TCL.<\/li>\n<li>The goal is to provide a seamless flow of information throughout the company and her clients, considering both backend data structure and frontend accessibility for end-users.<\/li>\n<li>The job holder will also analyze processes and systems to extract insights from structured and unstructured data.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Role Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Analyze data to develop predictive models for clients as assigned<\/li>\n<li>Identify database requirements by interviewing customers; analyzing department applications, programming, and operations; evaluating existing systems and designing proposed systems.<\/li>\n<li>Build database systems of high availability and quality depending on each end user\u2019s specialized role<\/li>\n<li>Design and implement databases in accordance with end users\u2019 information needs and views<\/li>\n<li>Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely manner<\/li>\n<li>Recommend solutions by defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, database security, database back-up, and recovery specifications.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain database performance by calculating optimum values for database parameters; implementing new releases; completing maintenance requirements; evaluating computer operating systems and hardware products.<\/li>\n<li>Utilize high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup database<\/li>\n<li>Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity<\/li>\n<li>Create, manage and maintain analytically rigorous data<\/li>\n<li>Analyse and manage data in order to build data driven insights and high impact data models to generate significant organizational value for clients and TCL;<\/li>\n<li>Create models and processes to collect, distill and interpret data with a view to aid better, more informed decision making;<\/li>\n<li>Analyze a broad range of existing data sources;<\/li>\n<li>Run analytical experiments and evaluate theoretical alternate models for clients as assigned<\/li>\n<li>Conduct statistical analysis to develop strategies<\/li>\n<li>Identify data patterns and trends<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience\/Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Degree in the Sciences with a minimum of 3 years-experience in a similar role.<\/li>\n<li>Other relevant professional qualification is an added advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Competencies\/Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Analytical and problem-solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to analyse problems and strategize for better solutions<\/li>\n<li>Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to balance multiple projects, and collaborate across disciplines in a cross-functional atmosphere<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Specific Database Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experienced in data analysis, predictive modeling, and data mining techniques<\/li>\n<li>Experienced in one or more programming languages (C\/C++, Python, Perl, Java)<\/li>\n<li>Experienced in genetic algorithms, logistic and linear regression, PCA, decision tree analysis and statistical methods<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with data automation techniques<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on experience with SQL Database<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of Power BI and Excel<\/li>\n<li>Excellent knowledge of database backup, recovery, security, integrity and high availability<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend\/backend) and third-party tools<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with programming languages API<\/li>\n<li>Ability to think algorithmically<\/li>\n<li>Excellent knowledge of Data Maintenance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Behavioral Qualities\/Other Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proactive identification and elimination of inefficiencies<\/li>\n<li>Continual self-development<\/li>\n<li>Attention to Detail<\/li>\n<li>Goal, quality and excellence orientation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their CV to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:HR@techspecialistlimited.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>HR@techspecialistlimited.com<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>31st March, 2019.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Techspecialist Consulting Limited operates information and communication technology (ICT) systems for multinational corporations, public and private sector institutions.
