We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Finance and Administrative Officer<br \/>\nLocation:\u00a0<\/strong>Abuja<\/p>\n<p><strong>ASF France mission in Nigeria<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Active in Nigeria for more than a decade, ASF France is currently implementing human rights project on promoting international human rights standards on anti-torture and death penalty issues. Within the context of these projects, ASF France and its partners provide free legal assistance, conduct trainings and organize awareness and sensitization activities.<\/li>\n<li>As part of its SAFE project: \u201cStrengthening the national actors\u2019 capacities and Advocating For Ending serious human rights violations in Nigeria\u201d, Avocats Sans Fronti\u00e8res France is looking for a Communications Officer in Nigeria.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><br \/>\nUnder the supervision of the Project Manager, the Financial and Administrative Assistant will carry out the following tasks for Avocats Sans Fronti\u00e8res France:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Overall Objectives And Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage a transparent and accurate financial accounting system in line with local laws and regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Follow ASF France process on project monitoring.<\/li>\n<li>Support the Project Manager in planning and budgeting for all financial aspects of the programme.<\/li>\n<li>Accurate financial reporting to donors.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee budgetary, procurements and internal controls<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Financial Accounting:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure that proper financial procedures and systems are operated and maintained throughout the organisation.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for all local accounting of programme.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for archiving financial data and documents.<\/li>\n<li>Set up, establish and monitor internal controls for all ASF France activities.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a cash forecasting system to ensure that adequate funds are available to meet the working requirements of the organisation.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor on-going levels of expenditure on individual programmes against budget lines, and provide timely advice on likely favourable or adverse variance.<\/li>\n<li>Reconcile all bank accounts, petty cash and cash floats.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure proper processing of payroll for ASF France Nigeria national staff and consultants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Financial Reporting and Management:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure compliance with ASF France policies and guidelines and donor requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with local regulations in respect of financial and other matters (e.g. pension, insurance, taxation and labour laws).<\/li>\n<li>Support the Project Manager in providing donors with all necessary financial and other information when requested.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare monthly accounting report and documentation for ASF France headquarter.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare donor financial reports in line with donor reporting requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Administration:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure all national staff understands the processes for financial activity within ASF France.<\/li>\n<li>Stay abreast of ASF France registration and legal status requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain good communication with ASF France Finance Manager at the Headquarters.<\/li>\n<li>Provide administrative support to human resource management e.g. drafting contract and managing leave schedules.<\/li>\n<li>Undertake procurement for the programme following ASF France guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>Be flexible in supporting the organisation in any other task\/duty that is necessary to the programme.<\/li>\n<li>Handle logistic and organizational aspects of the project and of the office.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Profile and Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Accounting or finance-related degree and\/or fully qualified member of a recognized accounting professional association e.g ICAN, ACCA (relevant experience will be considered)<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrable understanding and experience of finance management within an NGO<\/li>\n<li>3 years relevant work experience<\/li>\n<li>Experience of financial reporting to institutional bodies<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with compliance systems (eg project donor requirements)<\/li>\n<li>Experience of providing Human Resource support to an organisation<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication skills, with excellent written and spoken English<\/li>\n<li>Confident and proficient in the use of MS office with advanced excel proficiency<\/li>\n<li>Ability to establish strong working relationships with colleagues from different functions and cultures<\/li>\n<li>Experience and ability to adopt a flexible approach to managing and prioritizing a high workload and multiple tasks<\/li>\n<li>Experience of proactively identifying and addressing Special participation will be requested for the design and organization of CSOs and Media trainings;<\/li>\n<li>Organization of International Days events: press conference, written press statements to be published on social Media.
