We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Internal Control Officer<br \/>\nLocation:<\/strong>\u00a0Lagos<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nJob Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for implementing Internal audit, Control, Risk Management, Corporate Governance system in the organisation and its entities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Task<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure proper internal audit and control system<\/li>\n<li>Implement risk management system<\/li>\n<li>Investigate fraud within the organization<\/li>\n<li>Carry out Audit activities and prepare reports<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Keep abreast of global and local best practice as it relates to the internal audit operations.<\/li>\n<li>Establish and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate the review of business\/ operating processes and practices and information systems to ensure the adequacy of existing controls as well as mitigate errors, irregularities and fraud.<\/li>\n<li>Perform investigations into suspected fraudulent\/sharp practices across the organisation and recommend the appropriate line of action in response to findings.<\/li>\n<li>Investigate client complaints and provide reports on same.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare audit reports and advise units and committees on departure from policies, procedures, and other exceptions.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare\/compile agreed periodic activity and performance reports for the attention of the CEO and relevant Board Committee.<\/li>\n<li>Good back up support on operation\/ transaction review.<\/li>\n<li>Perform any other duties as assigned by the CEO\/ Board.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate the compilation and continuous review of a detailed transaction process flow for all key activities in the organisation and define control measures to ensure compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise the execution of VFD\u2019s control procedures on financial processes such as revenue collection, receivable and asset management, investments, international operations, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare\/ review internal audit reports covering audit activities, findings and overall assessment of control environment.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all financial transactions are bona-fide, accurate and processed in line with established policies and procedures and coordinate the review of all payment vouchers to both internal and external parties.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Performance Indicators<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Savings on income leakages<\/li>\n<li>Timely and discreet execution of investigations<\/li>\n<li>Number of timely conducted audits<\/li>\n<li>Reduced fraud cases<\/li>\n<li>Comprehensive, clear, and constructive audit and fraud reports<\/li>\n<li>Reduced number of mitigated risk<\/li>\n<li>Minimum exceptions found by external auditors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Specification\/ Qualification<\/strong><br \/>\nQualification:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First degree or its equivalent in a numerate discipline (Accounting, Economics, Finance, etc), MBA or Master\u2019s degree in Finance or Accounting required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>4 years relevant experience of which at least a year must have been spent in a similar role in the financial services industry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Professional Membership:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Chartered membership of ICAN\/ ACCA required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Competence Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\nCore Skills:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles<\/li>\n<li>Ability to analyze financial data<\/li>\n<li>Ability to read large volumes of documents effectively and extract necessary information<\/li>\n<li>In-depth understanding of the organization\u2019s business issues<\/li>\n<li>Communication &amp; Presentation<\/li>\n<li>Good report writing skills<\/li>\n<li>Negotiation<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite &amp; the Internet<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of audit techniques and methods required<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of corporate governance practices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Generic
