They are a Public Liability Company (Plc) and have been operational for over two decades.<br \/>\nThe company is looking to re-position itself to capitalize on new and emerging opportunities for enhanced growth and profitability and therefore is searching for qualified and effectual professionals to join its Executive Management Team in the vacant position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nJob Title:\u00a0Chief Financial Officer<br \/>\nLocation:\u00a0<\/strong>Nigeria<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nKey Roles and Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nStrategy Formulation and Implementation:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identifies opportunities geared towards maximising company\u2019 earnings<\/li>\n<li>Provide strategic financial management and leadership support across the business, in line with the overall corporate strategy<\/li>\n<li>Develop, update and implement finance and tax strategies, policies and processes<\/li>\n<li>Work with other members of the executive team to develop, finance and implement growth initiatives and objectives including new products and businesses<\/li>\n<li>Develop strategic financial initiatives for company in the manner that will assist in achieving the company\u2019s objectives<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Finance Planning and Budget Preparation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Initiate and co-ordinate the formulation of the financial plan and annual budgets. Monitors progress towards their achievement<\/li>\n<li>Engage Executive Management and the appropriate Board Committees to develop short, medium, and long-term financial plans and projections for company<\/li>\n<li>Develop and utilise financial models and activity-based financial analysis to provide a basis for investment decisions and business planning<\/li>\n<li>Provide advice on liquidity, investment and financial asset management<\/li>\n<li>Develop appropriate investment policies for the optimal investment of the company\u2019s investible funds<\/li>\n<li>Manage the company\u2019s treasury assets to achieve optimal sourcing, application and growth of funds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Finance Operations:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and implement a sound accounting framework in compliance with statutory provisions<\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement a robust and reliable financial reporting system in compliance with statutory requirements<\/li>\n<li>Ensure proper maintenance of the financial records\/Books of Accounts of company<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the annual financial statements and statutory reports are prepared in a timely manner, accurately and in accordance with standards and regulations<\/li>\n<li>Ensure company\u2019 statutory obligations are fulfilled in an efficient and effective manner<\/li>\n<li>Provide and interpret financial management information for effective decision making and to maximise returns on business<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and control revenue and expenses (opex and capex) to ensure operational and financial efficiency<\/li>\n<li>Approve payroll along with the Human Resources Department<\/li>\n<li>Drive a cost-saving culture across all areas of the business<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Stakeholder and External Relations:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain effective engagement with shareholders of the Company<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with external and internal auditors; and ensures the annual and\/or periodic audits are seamlessly carried out<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with current and future investors to ensure value is maximized<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>People Management:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee the activities of all units within the Finance Team, including Corporate Finance, Financial Reporting, Treasury Management and Investor Relations<\/li>\n<li>Develop capability of subordinates towards the achievement of departmental performance target<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Qualification &amp; Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An MBA or Masters degree in a related discipline<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of fifteen (15) years\u2019 experience, with at least five (5) years\u2019 experience in an Executive Management role<\/li>\n<li>Experience in the Capital Markets or Financial Services sector<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of the Capital Market and Information Technology and Commercial functions with bottom line accountability<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of university degree in Accounting, Finance, or any other relevant discipline from a reputable institution<\/li>\n<li>Relevant professional certifications e.g. Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Association of Certified and Chartered Accountants (ACCA) or equivalents<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their Resume to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:careers@executionedge.net\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>careers@executionedge.net<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0with CFO1010 as the subject of the mail.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>14th April, 2019.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong>\u00a0Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Execution Edge Limited \u2013 Our client is a major player in the Nigerian Capital Market setup to leverage technology to drive efficient and transparent transactions.
