We are recruiting suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Attorney \u2013 Corporate &amp; Litigation<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Ikoyi, Lagos<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nJob Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The attorney whom should be specialized in corporate and litigation matters would join a law firm handling all complex legal matters, represent clients in court cases and other kinds of adversarial legal proceedings such as arbitrations, mediations and administrative law proceedings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Negotiate deals and attend company meetings<\/li>\n<li>Consult with Clients<\/li>\n<li>Conduct Pre-Trial Activities<\/li>\n<li>Represent Clients in a Trial<\/li>\n<li>Consult and handle all corporate legal processes (e.g. intellectual property, mergers &amp; acquisitions, financial\/securities offerings, compliance issues, transactions, agreements, lawsuits, patents)<\/li>\n<li>Develop company policy and position on legal issues<\/li>\n<li>Research, anticipate and guard company against legal risks<\/li>\n<li>Guide managers and ensure compliance with rules and regulations<\/li>\n<li>Structure, draft and review reports and other legal documents<\/li>\n<li>Represent company in legal proceedings (administrative boards, court trials etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Draft and administer all contracts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements\/Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A very good degree in Law and graduate from Law School<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 5 (five) years relevant experience working in a Law Firm.<\/li>\n<li>Obtaining state bar admission<\/li>\n<li>Drafting briefs and other legal documents<\/li>\n<li>Gathering evidence to be used in trial<\/li>\n<li>Interviewing key witnesses<\/li>\n<li>Conducting depositions.<\/li>\n<li>Proven comparable law firm experience<\/li>\n<li>Proven background on corporate law (contract law, tax law, accounting, securities law, bankruptcy, intellectual property rights, licensing, zoning laws)<\/li>\n<li>Excellent negotiation and communications skills<\/li>\n<li>Administrative and managerial skills<\/li>\n<li>Analytical ability and strong attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Computer skills<\/li>\n<li>Current license to practice law<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Remuneration<\/strong><br \/>\nCompetitive.<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their Resume to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:careers@workplacecentre.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>careers@workplacecentre.com<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0using \u201cAttorney_Lagos\u201d as subject of your mail.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Workplace Centre Limited \u2013 We are a World Class Skills Development and HR \/ ICT Consulting Services organisation that adds significant value to our clients and society.
