We are recruiting to fill the position of:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Logistics Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Abuja, Nigeria<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nJob Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Logistics Manager is responsible for ensuring that all deliveries for both all arms of the business are managed seamlessly.<\/li>\n<li>S\/he will provide guidance to the logistics officers responsible for each of the departments, and monitor performances of all staff involved.<\/li>\n<li>The Logistics Manager will also make Strategic decisions as necessary, with the aim of improving the efficiency of logistics and delivery.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Roles &amp; Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nPrimary Roles:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Report maintenance and repair needs for transportation vehicles and equipment<\/li>\n<li>Research and suggest cost-effective delivery methods<\/li>\n<li>Conduct regular safety audits on equipment<\/li>\n<li>Manage the Bikers and Drivers onboarding process and earning programme<\/li>\n<li>Organize training sessions for employees (e.g. proper use of vehicles, handling of hazardous material, sensitive goods and perishable goods)<\/li>\n<li>Keep organized records of vehicles, schedules and completed orders<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with company policies and transport legislation<\/li>\n<li>Stay up-to-date with safety regulations<\/li>\n<li>Manage the delivery fleet to ensure timely deliveries<\/li>\n<li>Set weekly schedules and plans for logistics tasks and clearly communicate with staff<\/li>\n<li>Create budgets on a regular basis (weekly and monthly) for Logistics and monitor expenses<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all fleet maintenance is conducted timely<\/li>\n<li>Will ensure that all drivers and delivery personnel are equipped with functional Point of Sales devices and Cash (including change)<\/li>\n<li>Will conduct random quality control at the point of dispatch<\/li>\n<li>Will actively seek feedback from the customers at the point of delivery on quality of delivery and report to Customer Care Manager and Operations &amp; Administration Manager on the same<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain good relationships<\/li>\n<li>Plan and supervise the shipments from production to the end-user<\/li>\n<li>Develop strategies for increasing Logistics revenue<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with vendors for set up bespoke pickup and delivery services<\/li>\n<li>Schedule daily and weekly routes<\/li>\n<li>Track orders using functional systems (e.g. barcodes and tracking software)<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with Delivery Officers to ensure proper handling and delivery of products<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and report on transportation costs<\/li>\n<li>Ensure delivery documents are properly filed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Secondary Roles:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work closely with the Customer Management team and Operations &amp; Administration Manager on solving any issues that may arise that hinders effective delivery of goods<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with the Business development team to generate leads on potential vendors, developing bespoke services and maintaining a good relationship with existing vendor<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with Onsite &amp; Technologies Team to continually develop a more effective and efficient LMS<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with Management to reduce inefficiencies in logistics and operations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><br \/>\nThis role is open to all graduates, but a degree, HND or foundation degree in the following subject areas may help:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Information systems<\/li>\n<li>Management<\/li>\n<li>Science<\/li>\n<li>Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Transport, distribution or logistics<\/li>\n<li>Business<\/li>\n<li>Business with languages<\/li>\n<li>Computing<\/li>\n<li>Economics<\/li>\n<li>Geography<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills:<\/strong><br \/>\nYou will need to have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Commercial awareness and numeracy skills<\/li>\n<li>Some degree of IT literacy and the ability to handle electronic data<\/li>\n<li>The ability to manage change<\/li>\n<li>A logical and systematic approach to work<\/li>\n<li>Good time management ability<\/li>\n<li>The ability to solve problems and make decisions, as well as think laterally and offer creative solutions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/jobs\/view\/1246903418\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Click here to apply<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nkataa.com is currently Abuja\u2019s biggest online grocery store.
