We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Office Manager \u2013 NCA Joint Border Task Force Project<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Job ref:<\/strong> 09\/19 LOS<br \/>\n<strong>Grade:<\/strong> B3 (L)<br \/>\n<strong>Type of Position:<\/strong> Fixed Term<br \/>\n<strong>Duration of Post:<\/strong> 10 months<br \/>\n<strong>Start Date:<\/strong> 1st May 2019<br \/>\n<strong>Type of Post:<\/strong> British Deputy High Commission<br \/>\n<strong>Job Subcategory:<\/strong> NCA (National Crime Agency)<br \/>\n<strong>Job Category:<\/strong> Other British Government Departments (Partners across Government, including UK Visas)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Purpose of Job<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The main purpose of this job is to act as Office Manager, providing administrative support to the National Crime Agency (NCA)-led Joint Border Task Force project team, based in the British Deputy High Commission in Lagos.<\/li>\n<li>This is a multi-agency team consisting of UK-based officers and staff from NCA, Home Office and Crown Prosecution Service and locally-engaged support staff.<\/li>\n<li>The job holder will need to demonstrate a high level of integrity and discretion.<\/li>\n<li>All candidates should be aware that the appointment is subject to security checks and clearance prior to taking up the post.<\/li>\n<li>Candidates should be UK passport holders with a recent 5 year verifiable footprint within the UK.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reporting to the Project Lead, maintain and update accurate financial records in support of the management of an annual budget in excess of \u00a32 million;<\/li>\n<li>Provide administrative support to the JBTF Project Lead and wider project team;<\/li>\n<li>Complete other corporate records in a timely and accurate manner;<\/li>\n<li>Manage local engaged staff \u2013 A2(L) Project Support Assistant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop a thorough understanding of FCO and NCA financial management and procurement processes;<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and update accurate financial records in support of FCO and NCA budget management and procurement processes;<\/li>\n<li>Co-ordinate and deliver effective administrative support to the JBTF Project Team. This may include booking flights and accommodation and providing logistical support to training events, workshops and conferences;<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and update the JBTF Asset Register, including the supervising the management of the vehicle fleet;<\/li>\n<li>Timely completion of own performance records as well as of those managed;<\/li>\n<li>Performing ad hoc duties identified and commensurate with the role.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\nEssential Qualifications, Skills and Experience:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Good oral and written communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Good working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word and Excel<\/li>\n<li>Excellent organisational skills and ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload effectively<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work effectively within a team<\/li>\n<li>UK passport holder<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desirable Qualifications, Skills and Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Understanding of basic procurement and financial processes<\/li>\n<li>Experience and \/or qualification in Project Management (Prince2)<\/li>\n<li>Experience in financial record keeping<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Making Effective Decisions, Collaborating and Partnering, Managing a Quality Service, Delivering at Pace.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Conditions of employment<\/strong><br \/>\nWorking patterns:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If the job is suitable for flexible working patterns, please provide details<\/li>\n<li>The role will be office-based due to the requirement to access IT systems.
