We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nJob Title:\u00a0Backend Engineer, Telemetry<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Nigeria<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nDescription<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At GitLab, developers are independent and self-organized individual contributors who work together as a tight team in a remote and agile way.<\/li>\n<li>Most backend developers work on all aspects of GitLab, building features, fixing bugs, and generally improving the application.\u00a0 The Manage team works on the backend part of GitLab for the Manage product category. Among other things, this means working on GitLab\u2019s functionality around user, group and project administration, authentication, access control, and subscriptions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create and maintain documentation around features and configuration to save our users time.<\/li>\n<li>Take initiative in improving the software in small or large ways to address pain points in your own experience as a developer.<\/li>\n<li>Keep code easy to maintain and keep it easy for others to contribute code to GitLab.<\/li>\n<li>Qualify developers for hiring.<\/li>\n<li>Develop features from proposal to polished end result.<\/li>\n<li>Support and collaborate with our support engineers in getting to the bottom of user-reported issues and come up with robust solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Engage with the core team and the open source community to collaborate on improving GitLab.<\/li>\n<li>Manage and review code contributed by the rest of the community and work with them to get it ready for production.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong written communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivated and have strong organizational skills.<\/li>\n<li>You share our values, and work in accordance with those values.<\/li>\n<li>You have worked on a production-level Ruby application, preferably using Rails (this is a strict requirement).<\/li>\n<li>Experience with other technologies a plus.<\/li>\n<li>You can reason about software, algorithms, and performance from a high level.<\/li>\n<li>You are passionate about open source.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<br \/>\n<\/strong>Interested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/boards.greenhouse.io\/gitlab\/jobs\/4337165002\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Click here to apply<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong>: This position is remote based.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>GitLab Inc. is a company based on the GitLab open-source project, helping developers collaborate on code to build great things and ship on time.
