We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nJob Title:\u00a0Senior Associate<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Lagos<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nJob Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We are seeking a suitably competent, dedicated, intelligent, versatile, detail-oriented and resourceful Senior Associate for our Ibadan office.<\/li>\n<li>A qualified candidate for this position will have a solid grounding in litigation, arbitration and corporate-commercial transactions.<\/li>\n<li>The successful candidate will exhibit a high-level of professionalism and a business style that is entrepreneurial, team-oriented, hands-on, and collaborative.<\/li>\n<li>He\/she should also be able to evaluate and balance the needs and priorities of the business when making strategic decisions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Draw up contracts and other legal documents.<\/li>\n<li>Research documents and case history to ensure accuracy of advice and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Represent clients in Courts where required.<\/li>\n<li>Work and behave in a professional manner and to the highest standards of the profession.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain high standards of professional conduct while generating adequate practice income, ensuring that the fees earned sufficiently exceed total costs and expenses incurred.<\/li>\n<li>Carry out duties given by the partners faithfully and diligently and follow all reasonable instructions.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in the growth and development of the firm.<\/li>\n<li>Treat all information about the firm and its client and their business as wholly confidential<\/li>\n<li>Keep up to date with changes in the law.<\/li>\n<li>Attract additional business from new and existing clients<\/li>\n<li>Strategic and commercially aware and be fully familiar with the firm\u2019s current business strategy.<\/li>\n<li>Proven leadership abilities with track record of effectively delegating work to other team members and supervising the work effectively.<\/li>\n<li>Successfully managed a project that involves other people in the firm.<\/li>\n<li>Technically sound across a sufficiently wide area to work without significant supervision.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain good client relationship skills, gaining clients\u2019 confidence and that of other professionals.<\/li>\n<li>Provide high quality legal service to all clients.<\/li>\n<li>Receive requests for legal advice from current and potential clients and deciding on the most appropriate responses to make to these requests<\/li>\n<li>Offer advice on the law, legal procedures and a wide range of associated issues.<\/li>\n<li>Attend and represent the firm at client meetings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desired Skills &amp; Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to manage assigned tasks in an assertive, efficient and timely manner.<\/li>\n<li>Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating professionalism in all dealings.<\/li>\n<li>Able to deal understandingly and appropriately with clients and to show empathy with them.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent leadership and management skills.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to multitask and keep calm under pressure.<\/li>\n<li>The flexibility to work outside normal office hours as may be required from time-to-time.<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to implement legal strategies in a commercial context.<\/li>\n<li>Sound judgment with ability to balance legal risk and business impact.<\/li>\n<li>A willingness to be adaptive to the businesses\u2019 changing needs.<\/li>\n<li>A strong work ethic that reflects a collaborative, adaptable and results-oriented approach.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in using Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)<\/li>\n<li>First degree in Law; BL.<\/li>\n<li>8 \u2013 10 years\u2019 post NYSC generalist experience at least 5 of which must have been at Associate level gained at a reputable and structured law firm.<\/li>\n<li>Evidence of interest in, and commitment to, the success of the firm.<\/li>\n<li>Relevant experience within a professional services firm.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication both written and verbal \u2013 the role involves liaison with internal and external people at a senior level.<\/li>\n<li>A self-starter, able to demonstrate high levels of initiative and motivation, but also work closely with other team members and displaying trust and loyalty.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their Application Letter and CV to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:resume@team-ace.net\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>resume@team-ace.net<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0using the \u201cJob Title\u201d as the subject of the mail.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SPA.
