The University\u2019s mission is to provide quality education to Nigeria and Africa\u2019s future leaders in order to equip them with the skills needed to solve development issues on the continent, and give them the knowledge needed to create solutions that will benefit their community, their country and, ultimately, the world.<br \/>\nThe Atiku Center (SENSE project) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below, this position is opened to indigenous and\/or legal residents of Nigeria:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Project Assistant (SENSE Project)\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Adamawa<br \/>\n<strong>Department:<\/strong> Atiku Center (SENSE project)<br \/>\n<strong>Nature of Employment:<\/strong> Project Assignment<br \/>\n<strong>Duration:<\/strong> Two (2) Years<\/p>\n<p><strong>Summary of Position<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>He\/she will provide general administrative and logistical support to the project and also provide supports during trainings and workshops. Also render technical assistance in other program activities of the project.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Primary Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support in the coordination of activities and programs in project offices.<\/li>\n<li>Carry out filing of relevant materials and project documents.<\/li>\n<li>Provide administrative support to program teams based in the project communities.<\/li>\n<li>Tracking and ensuring participants in training events sign attendance.<\/li>\n<li>Conducting and reporting pre-training venue inspections and work with hotel staff to prepare venues as required.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate transport of training equipment and materials to venues ready for use.<\/li>\n<li>Tracking project pending actions, including following-up\/reminding concerned staff.<\/li>\n<li>Update project operations files and staff contact list and maintain project calendar.<\/li>\n<li>Providing logistics and other support to program implementation<\/li>\n<li>Send monthly timesheet to staff and collate for CoP approval.<\/li>\n<li>Any other duty as may be required from time to time by the supervisor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Position Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First Degree\/Masters in Social, Business Management, Public Administration, or equivalents.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 2 years\u2019 relevant work experience with an NGO.<\/li>\n<li>Very good minute taking skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to coordinate and manage operations of teams<\/li>\n<li>Good communication and \/>\n<strong>Department:<\/strong> Atiku Center (SENSE project)<br \/>\n<strong>Nature of Employment:<\/strong> Project Assignment (Full Time)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Summary of Position<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Communications Officer will be responsible for raising awareness about project, write and distribute content to promote project\u2019s brand and activities.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with media and also produce press releases.<\/li>\n<li>H\/she shall give technical support in drafting and editing project reports.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Primary Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide technical support in drafting, editing project\u2019s reports (including high-level technical reports).<\/li>\n<li>Manage the project\u2019s online presence including the project website and social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn etc.<\/li>\n<li>Support internal and external communications i.e. manage media contacts.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and track all relevant media activity and reportage and obtain newspaper cuttings, articles and news features.<\/li>\n<li>Leverage current publishing and information technologies to capture and disseminate project gains in new and compelling ways.<\/li>\n<li>Integrate information dissemination, networking, and outreach activities into the knowledge sharing effort.<\/li>\n<li>Support partners to generate key messages, develop talking points and draft speeches.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinates development of annual\/quarterly reports, success stories, blogs, web articles and ad hoc reports.<\/li>\n<li>Organizes public events, production of publicity materials, press releases and coordination with media outlets.<\/li>\n<li>Develop communication materials in print and online formats to support project objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure conformity with USAID communication, branding and marking guidelines<\/li>\n<li>Any other task as may be assigned by the Supervisor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Position Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BA\/HND in Information Technology, Communications, Journalism, Management, Social Sciences or related field.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent writing skills, good Internet skills<\/li>\n<li>Experience using software such as Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.),<\/li>\n<li>Good graphics skills<\/li>\n<li>Must have 3+ years of specific related experience in communications, preferably on USAID or other donor funded project.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent spoken and written
